Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Raining this morning, may need my brolly to get to the bus stop! My car went away on a low loader yesterday and the garage phoned to say they had it - had to fill in an on-line form for them giving all the details they already have! Don't know when it will be looked at, apparently it could be in a weeks time so I will borrow my friend's car for the weekend as she is going away.
Work has gone eerily quiet, we were searching for things to do yesterday which is unheard of. Hopefully it will busy up again today.
Washing can be done when I get home, no chance of it going outside although the forecast shows sunshine for Saturday so fingers crossed I'll be able to put some washing out then.
Hope your appointment went well Ruby.
Take care. XX

Morning all
Raining here again - as I’m sure it is for most of us 😩 getting fed up of it now! Thanks for all the good wishes re my appointment, it was very good service I was in and out in 45 minutes and saw the consultant, went for a scan and saw the consultant again, they think I have got capsular contracture which is where the implant goes hard, there are two layers to an implant and my outside layer is fine but the inner one has gone hard, I have to go for an mri to confirm this ( I hate mri’s they really terrify me 😩) he did say that they don’t normally do anything to do with implants as it’s seen as cosmetic but as I had mine at that hospital due to cancer that they might be able to correct it, I have to wait for a letter now, but it might mean having both implants out and new ones put in, I dread the thought of another operation so will have to have a good think about it.
Dinner tonight will be spag bol so I must get the mince out this morning and the shopping is being delivered this evening.Poor dd worked from 7.30 yesterday morning and was due to leave work at 10 last night but the night shift person didn’t turn up so she had to stay overnight, she will be shattered when she gets in later this afternoon bless her.
I am off to see O today and he has a new live in carer starting today so it should be an interesting day, his mum still wants me there as well so that the other one can get her time off while I am there, she sounded a bit flakey on the phone so his mum was not sure how long she would last but we will see.Camelot I hope they can sort your car quickly xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
My Tuesday was fine. I decided to drive down to the next wee village to post a return, just because I fancied it. There's a wee shop which doubles as a PO with a small cafe too. On the way back I fuelled the car. The return was to a seller on A who tried to get me to send the item back to the manufacturer to be examined. Wasn't having that, quoted the Consumer Act which made them agree to refund and pay postage.Last night the surgeon who ordered the CT scan phoned me with the result - it was the pre-arranged and then postponed telephone consultation. The scan showed a stone lodged in the tube between a kidney and bladder. That explains why I feel so rotten and have another infection. Now I need to decide the next step, go NHS and wait or not. I'll speak to my GP this morning, perhaps she'll have an idea about waiting times. Mind you, I've almost made my decision already.
No plans for today though there'll be something round the corner. Take care all. Hugs to poorlies.
EDITED - must have crossed posted with you @RedRuby1231 - sorry that you are facing another operation or two even if they cure the problems. Extra hugs to you..

Wet out there at the moment but due to be dry for the rest of the day for a change!
@Gers @RedRuby1231 hope you get your medical problems sorted soon x
Nothing planned today apart from some housework and a load of washing to be put on the airer. Don't think it will dry outside as it still feels damp out there.
Will settle down to the Olympics this afternoon. Ice dance on this evening so must remember to tune in for that too.
Have a good day all x

Morning again, it looks like another miserable day here. Yesterday it rained all day.
Not much going on here today.
Ruby and Gers, sorry to hear of the health problems you're both experiencing.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can.
Take care folks

Morning
Glad to hear Ruby and Gers have progressed medical issues - hope that further treatment isn’t too long to wait.
I’m pleased not to be out at work today - I was beyond shattered yesterday and achieved nothing after 7pmWe have a new chest freezer arriving sometime this morning, It should be fine as I decided that instead of paying of them to take away the old one, that we’d get the council to take it in a few days. It’ll make things less stressful as there’s no way we could empty the old one in readiness as it’s chocka! It’ll cost a few pounds more so not MS but will save stress and that’s worth it!
Other than that there’s a load of chores to do, plus I’d like to get some craft work done. Added to that it’s DM and DF’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary tomorrow so some surreptitious present wrapping is needed.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Same old same old weather forecast, I agree it gets boring. How much longer can this rain stick around.
Not very uplifting news from our ailing ones this morning. RUBY facing further ops doesn't sound pleasant. And GERS facing another NHS or Private decision. It shouldn't come to this should it as lots can't afford to decide . But going back to my days of similar UTI' problems as you I know what I would have decided if I had had to, to be rid of the extruciating pain that had me almost crawling the walls. Thoughts with you both.
Lunch with DF yesterday was on and we had a pleasant couple of hours putting the world, and her life, to rights! She is never without DH's problems and I think it does her good to offload and discuss them.. She has her own health problems and could without coping with his irrational ones as well.
Today is fluid with the usual jobs awaiting when I cba. Today may be the day! Or it may not!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
So sorry to hear of the scan results @Gers - can imagine you’d want this dealt with swiftly x
Also @RedRuby1231 - hope the MRI appt comes through quickly 🤞🏻
I met my friend yesterday for a walk at a NT property. We just started the walk and were making our way up a public footpath when we met a lady coming down with three dogs. Two of the dogs were off lead and just walked past my friend and I, but the third dog, on a harness and lead lunged across the lady and bit me on the leg, puncturing my skin on my right upper thigh and leaving a hole in my walking trousers. I was really shocked and said to her "your dog has just bit me" and she hurried away saying "it's not my dog". Firstly I was so shocked she didn't even check I was okay, but clearly that dog needs to be muzzled as it's obviously very reactive. I didn't make any movements towards the dog or the walker.
The cafe staff and duty manager were lovely and gave me first aid and took a report. I’ve also reported to the Police. Worst thing is I spent the afternoon in A&E getting a tetanus, having the wound cleaned and dressed and now have anti-biotics.
No work today - put my foot down last night when I was messaged at 9:30pm after a week of radio silence. After the days events I was in no mood to be flexible. I’ll go out for some fresh air instead.Glad you are now insured for the licking @mehefin - could do with that here - might make enquiries.
Wishing everyone a good day

That's dreadful @Coxy11 - shameful that the woman just waltzed away. She may well be a dog walker (hence 'not my dog') so maybe uses the grounds frequently. I hope she gets found soon. Gentle hug.

Good morning
You won't be surprised to hear that it's raining.....again. In for the day apparently. Nothing planned other than wet dog walks and dealing with a soggy doggy. Yesterday I washed and dried his towels in readiness. I'm sure that dog is generating more laundry than us 😄
Sausages and mash tonight, comfort food.
Ruby and Gers, sorry to hear of your results, hope your medical problems are sorted soon.
Coxy, how disgusting of the woman. She was in charge of the dog whether it was hers or not. Also well done for putting your foot down about work, maybe it'll give them food for thought.
Have a good day all, take care.
