What is the material?
It looks synthetic, is some sort of board with a wood appearance finish but that may be the photograph.
Do you know what it is?
There is a way of doing this with solid wood.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

We had a dining table with a mark like this. We placed a tea towel on the surface and then used hot iron on tea towel. It worked for us.
