Royal Mail issue the data in snapshots. However, most companies do not buy every snapshot or have real time updates.
Does anyone have any idea how I can find out who Direct Line are using so I can contact them to put this right?
Its not your place to tell them. They know what they are doing and why.

Is real time even an option? It's been a while since I dealt with the PAF files but then it was end of day as the highest frequency you could get. The price of your subscription was dependent on the frequency of updates you got, we used to get monthly updates for our insurance systems.

By real time, I meant daily updates.
When I started out, the PAF snapshots were typically bought once a year, and those buying new builds often would have issues for a year or two with their address being found.
Of course, provider software can really lag behind what is actually available. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some out there still using the csv refreshes rather than the API.

Sometimes it feels like it was compared to today. But much simpler times.
