Rant EE

EE Customer Service was non-existent, rude and incapable of resolving my problem today. I see they have almost doubled any broadband bill and it includes range extenders. As I have problems with the internet connection at the back of my house, I phoned to request a range extender. 4 transfers of the call, repeating the problem and my personal details every time, it ended up with the adviser saying he was referring me back to the technical team (with whom I had already chatted) I said I did not have time (40 minutes of call transfers) to wait for yet another adviser as my request was simply for a range extender for which I am being charged. He said in that case call back when you have time. I cannot help you further. Appalling customer service.

I have also posted on EE Community Forum as advised. It ought to be simple to order an Extender for which I am already paying. Any help appreciated

I was switched to EE recently, a mixed bag so far on customer service.

The nice guy who switched me over from BT, said I would keep the same router, but they would send me a new WI FI Mesh/extender, as the EE ones were much better than the older BT disc ones.

Nothing was sent. So I phoned back and a very friendly Scottish Lady, said they would not have sent one as the EE one was incompatible with the BT router, she said the first guy was talking rubbish. However they could send an extra BT disc extender, which I said OK to as I did have a bit of a dead spot in the house.

When it arrived, it was actually an EE extender. I tried it and it worked, and some googling confirmed that an EE extender was in fact normally compatible with a BT router.

So they were both pleasant and cooperative, but a bit lacking in relatively basic technical knowledge.
