I update my unearned income, which can contain savings interest. Though haven’t done this recently.

I seem to recall from previous threads that HMRC have been updating their website and so navigation routes may not be identical for everyone all the time…

In particular, there was chat a while ago about a new page https://account.hmrc.gov.uk/paye/iabd/ which is what I'm presented with (today!) when selecting the PAYE option within my personal tax account.

This presents a link "Check your current pay, pension and Income Tax details", which directs to a page "Your Pay As You Earn summary", which includes (after PAYE income), a link "View the list of information about your other income, allowances, employment benefits and deductions".

Following this brings up a page containing, after the listing of income streams, "add investment income", which then presents the wording posted earlier about being able to update such income for this year or last year (but not next year).

I called them and they surprisingly answered within 10 minutes.

They updated my tax code for 2026/2027 for me. However this will change back when they see the interest I earned 2025/2026, so I will then need to call them again to update it.
