DCB LEGAL, SMART PARKING court claim

Thanks for this amazing forum BTW.

I have received a DCBL Notice of Debt Recovery, "ignore it" is the overwhelming feeling I got from the Newbie sticky post.

But, the PCN it refers to is from 2024 and they must have recently realised I moved and maybe my log book was out of date at time of stated convtravention.

So, I think that means from the sticky post that I am supposed to now email both Smart Parking UK and DCBL's dpo and tell them to erase previous address?

Is that it for now? I don't have the original PCN or anything really other than this debt recovery letter.

Just wait for them to put it to claim?

Use the dcbl app far easier

Start with old address then change it when you find your case then update

  • Not sure I feel comfortable installing an app from a company doing what DCBL do!!

It's fine, just use it to change your address.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Ok I have installed the app and linked the case from the debt recovery letter I received. So they now have only my current address.

Just wait for them to send more threats now then?

I have now received a claim form from DBC Legal Ltd on behalf of Smart Parking, is there a standard response to this too?

What is the date of issue of the claim form? You use the standard template defence but read the NEWBIE sticky that tells you what to do with AoS and then defence.

Edit your thread title to something more suitable like

DCB LEGAL, SMART PARKING court claim

Then follow the same advice as in this recent similar thread

Of course. You will have surely seen the top thread 'Template Defence' which you simply amalgamate with the suggested Smart Parking bespoke paragraphs (in the Smart Parking defence Group Thread) about DCB Legal lying about the PoFA applying.
