Moved house - informing Barclays/Barclaycard of change of contact details...?

Hi there, just after a bit of advice.
I have recently moved house and need to inform the bank and credit card - with Barclays/Barclaycard so I'm just wondering what the best way to do this is.
If I go into a Barclays branch with ID and ask to change address I assume they will change my Barclays accounts BUT will they change the address on the Barclaycard account?
If not, should I write to them, or telephone them?
Also, on the Barclays website there is a form available in the FAQs for change of address, which states it will change all Barclays accounts including Barclaycard - this is to be posted off! Is this safe as it needs you account number etc?
Has anyone with Barclays and Barclaycard accounts had experience of changing address with both by just contacting Barclays?
Thanks for your help, sorry for rambling on - I'm just trying to kill two birds with one stone so to speak!
P.S. When is the best time to update the electoral register, before or after I tell the bank - or should I just make sure that I do both around the same time?
Once again, Many thanks.

Hi
When I had a Barclaycard I just used to phone them with a change of address.
If you do post a form to them I wouldn't worry about putting your account number on it - remember your bank and credit card statements come through the post every month!

You can no longer do this over the phone due to fraud.
So use the form you fond on their website and do it asap and send it per registered mail.
Or send barclaycard a letter (cannot change in branch)
and go into the branch with your ID as you will need to prove you are who you say you are and you need to sign the form.
And thats that.0 -
Thanks for your replies.
As the form says it will alter all accounts with Barclays including Barclaycard accounts - would you assume this to be correct? Its just the address on the form is just "Barclays Leicester (and postcode)" - so if they can't change it in branch how come they can do this from the Barclays form?
It seems the easiest option to post it off!
Has anyone used this form before - http://barclays.metafaq.com/resources/barclays/day2day_banking/Newchangeaddress
Thanks again!0 -
It's funny how they pester you in Barclays branches to sign up for a Barclaycard and then when you do and have a problem with it or need to change details etc they don't want to know and instead tell you to phone them!0

Bump...:-)
Although I'm going to do this using the postal form I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny whether it is possible to update your Barclaycard address details at a Barclays Branch...?
Also, if they write back wanting any proof of ID will they accept photocopies - I'm a bit nervous when it comes to sending originals!
Many thanks!
