Well, I used the fantastic template letter above vey kindly provided by TimeLord1 giving them 15 days to provide a full response and refund (it was received at 14:14pm on 10/02/2026)……nothing!
No response and no refund :(
Now what to do I wonder?
I think the wheels have fallen off everything in this country!

I had a problem with the DWP a few years ago. I contacted my MP who had a reputation for being helpful and he read them the riot act. Result - I got the problem sorted out, a letter of apology from the DWP and £50 compensation. 😺

Thanks Murphybear, yeah it's been said, unfortunately (from past unrelated experience) my MP is not very good :(

Update - received a letter from DWP Complaints this morning apologising for the repeated errors along with confirmation of a refund for money's owed (no mention of attaching lost interest but I'll take it as a win!) They also stated that no more money would be taken and offered a compensatory payment of £100!
Thanks to all in this great community for the help and advice I've received especially TimeLord1 whose contribution was undoubtedly instrumental in the resolution….many thanks again!
