DCB Ltd letter vs disabled parking

Received letter today from DCB Ltd, I’ve not called them but I did contact them via WhatsApp before I found this forum so maybe I’m doomed because of that ? who knows.

Letter states it is collecting £160 on behalf of ParkingEye Limited for a PCN issued October 15th 2025. I was parked in a disabled parking bay at Lidl with my blue badge displayed accordingly.

This is the first I have heard of the PCN because, according to this DCB Ltd letter, they had previously written to me at a different address without response so used tracing services to find my new address. I didn’t quite understand this because my vehicle address is up to date.

I have sent an email to Lidl as suggested in another forum post of a disabled driver.

I can’t imagine I have ever over stayed the time limit at that car park, I’ve got no additional information apart from the date of the PCN, like how long I was parked there etc.

any thoughts? Thank you in advance

It might be a double visit. I would respond asking DCB Ltd giving a copy of your Blue Badge, confirming your postal address for service, and asking for a copy of the PCN, as is your right under the pre-action protocol.

That will reveal which address the PCN went to and the in and out images. That will reveal the date/times that they are relying on.

You will never have to pay this invoice.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As well as the email I would go into the store, explain you are a regular customer and see if a manager there will contact the parking pirates to get this cancelled.
