Thinking of you @Gers
Morning all
Must get up in a mo I've got someone coming round to sort our thermostat out. We bought a H**e that you connect to the boiler and get an app to control the heating and hot water to turn it on and off etc. Our old thermostat is not playing ball with the new one so the chap who fitted our radiator last year is coming round to sort it out. Something to do with the wiring.
I'm going to stay in the kitchen and make some hobnobs to keep out of his way.
Nothing planned for the rest of the day.
Have a good day all x

Visiting a friend this morning.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers - thinking of you and Lionel’s family today ❤️
We had a good night in London and fell into bed at 00:15. Poor DH has gone to work. No word from my boss so I guess I’m not needed today - very frustrating. I will pop to the town as I have a B00ts order to collect and need some veg. Will go to Sainsbobs and hopefully get the Sky freebie too 🤞🏻
Dinner is grilled salmon, rice and veg.
Hugs to all our poorlies

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A sad day for you, I hope it goes as well as it can x
What a surprise it's dismal, gloomy and wet again. Fortunately no snow which I half expected as I got a text from DF, who lives near the depot, telling me the gritters were just setting off last evening. We got a few flurries up here but it came to nothing.
A quick whizz up and down with the vac this morning and then I'll head for the bus into town to collect my parcel before they send it back! I'll have a brief look in a few remaining shops whilst down before heading up home again. To make the centre even less appealing they have now stopped putting the heating on. That doesn't exactly entice any lingering.
Have a good day folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care, be safe xx

Good morning
Raining here as well, the road out of the village is flooded. No matter, nowhere to go.
Salmon for tea, with new potatoes and asparagus, my favourite.
Thinking of you and Lionel's family today Gers.
Take care all in this weather, have as good a day as possible.

Morning all, thanks for the start Gers, thinking of you today.
Chrisca, we have been having problems with our heating too, it didn't come on this morning, does this quite often & you have to turn a little tap under the boiler to let more water in until it fires up.We got it checked last winter and the engineer said there must be a leak somewhere. He checked all the radiators and changed a couple of valves but still does it. There is no wet carpet anywhere so it's a bit of a mystery .
Raining hard and Ldog is in no hurry to go out, in fact he hasn't moved from his place on the sofa.
Coxy, that's very annoying of your boss as you can't plan for anything in case she does get in touch.
Not sure whats for tea tonight, I made a beef stew yesterday in my instant pot, and froze a couple of portions for the freezer.
Take care all.

Thinking of you today Gers ( still can’t figure out how to bold in hew format )
Also thinking of Florenceem who some may remember from here before as she has her DH (MrF ) CoL
well just for a change it’s pouring here again ,there is a lot of standing water around and the water meadows are definitely doing their job
I went to uni to pick up DGS yesterday for his dental here ,he insisted on getting the train back to save me another 120 mile round trip even though he looked a bit green
I did make him take money for a taxi from the station to his student house ,he was really chatty on the way ,lovely to see him so relaxed and happy ,as he had a v difficult childhood .
Today I am having a slow tidy and sort out .slowly slowly I will make things easier for my son when the time comes
on that cheerful note stay safe all13 -
Morning all…slow day today as there's rain, rain and a bit more rain just in case :) never mind, I have a blanket/throw whatever to finish. I only started it to use up some wool and to see what funky crochet stitches I could do. Caught up on the pottery programme anyway. Every time I see it I think, ooo, I'd like to give that a go…The bathrooms need cleaning but I managed to put that off yesterday :) Other than that, probably nothing today. Didn't make it to the allotment yesterday, rain stopped play…
Gers, hope today goes as well as it can. Florence, for you too. Coxy, really annoying but glad you had a dirty stop out night :) Suffolksue, highlight the word you want to bold or whatever and the box for choices comes up for bold/italic etc…Take care all…
