Morning everyone
Still grey and raining…
I went down to mam and dads yesterday, finished tidying a drawer and sorted a new bank card for mam, she must have put the wrong pin in again, as it wasn't working. I'm trying to encourage her to use cash, but sometimes she thinks she's going to run out of cash and tries her card.
I got my shopping then changed my mind about going into town, they didn't have what I needed on my prescription so I stayed in the warm. Also went across the road for a cuppa and cake with my friend.
I've 'borrowed' eldest DDs Netflix to watch the new series of Bridgerton, she's going to Vienna later today, to do another Hyrox competition.
Remmie I tend to buy cheese, biscuits and chocolate at Farmfoods, they often have good offers on short dated things as well. I don't really buy frozen food there, other than the occasional pizza and Birds Eye peas, which always seem to be cheaper there.
I might have told you that yesterday, I can't remember!
Gers I hope everything goes well tomorrow x
Right best get on, hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all
Damp out there and more wet stuff due later. That'll make a nice change!
Dusting, hoovering and mopping downstairs done, went on exercise bike and put the washing away that has now dried on the airer
Breadmaker going with another loaf for DS so nearly used up all the wholemeal flour now.
Coffee time now.
Hope the funeral goes well tomorrow @Gers
Have a good day all x

Morning all…guess what/. It's raining! Surprise! I dropped off all the stuff at the Sally Army yesterday, they were very grateful, so was I..Followed by a boots trip, a homesense trip and a hobbycraft trip, which resulted in a nice oven dish [ small but quite deep] and a wool holder spinning thing. The dish was used for the potatoes I mandolined the day before yesterday with a garlic and parmesan sauce [ omg, delicious, three stars, would recommend] and the spinny thing, much better than the wool falling on the floor all the time. I also shifted some stones around, the rain should help clean them. Today, there is a small window of no rain at twelve, so I'll try and get to the allotment to do the apple tree before it starts again.
Gers, hope it goes as well as it can tomorrow. I'd imagine whoever wrote that should have their behinds handed to them. It's not like the information wasn't supplied to them. Love the amazon seller reaction, obviously they think you have specialist talents about electric, well done being very restrained...Nanny, glad you're both ok! Rosy, happy birthday to your ds yesterday. How are you finding your log use this year? I ordered one load and I've still got quite a lot of it left, normally we'd have been through two by now. Coxy, happy birthday to your ds1 too. remmie, that's a good haul for the money! Ruby, glad you both enjoyed yesterday, rosy cheeked sounds nice :) camelot, how funny :) Izzy, I think you should open a caff :) Right, I'm orf, have fun all, and take care…hopefully all lurgies have gone?

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers hope all goes well tomorrow
After a sunny day yesterday it's raining again. Need a few dry warm days so I can get in the garden. Didn't on the walk this morning.
Take care

@taff , we've been very lucky with our logs. Last year an ash tree came down in the little wood across the road & DH and a neighbour cut it as it was part way across a footpath. We stacked our share in the logstore & waited until this winter to use it but it's all gone now hence the order so it's been a while since we had to buy any 😊

Afternoon all, thanks @Gers for today's thread start. It's yet another grey, murky day with gusty winds here, dry at the moment but heavy rain is due this afternoon and overnight sleet is possible on higher ground. 'Feels like' temperatures are at a consistent -1 deg all day. 😕
I didn't get quite as much done yesterday as I'd hoped but I'm not venturing out anywhere today so can play catch up. My new WM is up and running, thanks to my NDN, Bless, he took all the packaging out to the bins for me too. It has a lot more programmes than my last one although I doubt I'll use more than two or three of them, and seems simple enough to use. I'm putting it through its paces as we speak - so far, so good. I need to bake a white loaf today and have done a trawl through the freezer for tonight's dinner that will be a chicken & garlic kyiv with roast potatoes and mixed veg.
@dp1 - I have my fingers crossed the stronger cream will do the trick for LO, good to know she and her mum are back home.
@camelot - Those no shows are so annoying, not to mention the inconvenience of having to re-arrange; I hope you get some joy soon. Loving the image of little one's drawing of you and her.
@TA - Glad you had a good day out yesterday and found some bargain buys.
@Coxy - Happy birthday to your DS, sounds like a lovely night out is in store.
@Gers - I'd love to know what's so hard to understand about the words 'it's not working' so good on you for being so restrained with your reply. It made me think of the Monty Python sketch about the dead parrot - was it really 1969 when that was made? 😮 I hope tomorrow's cremation service goes as well as can be expected.
@nanny - Glad you and Mr Fix It are OK after yesterday's scary incident. It's a good job there was no-one on the pavement.
Sadly, my lunch break has come to an end so I'll get back to the grindstone but am sending the usual hugs to anyone who needs or wants one. Take care, have a good day. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11
