Morning Gers and all to follow
Raining here and meant to be all day, yesterday was lovely and sunny although very cold, O and I went out for a really long walk which I am sure did him some good, the air really bought some colour to his cheeks. I am off there again today but probably no walk due to the weather.Dinner tonight will be lasagne and salad the tomato sauce is made so just the mince and white sauce to do, dd is off today so she will cook.
Not enough washing to put a load on this morning, I’m sure by tomorrow the basket will be full again. Will have a hoover through later.
Thanks for all the good wishes re the breast clinic - hopefully it’s nothing bad just a glitch somewhere.
Have good days all and take care xx14 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you're not being battered too much by the strong winds.
Not much going on here, still chasing the heating engineer, will have to phone the breakdown company again this morning. I'm getting bit fed up with no shows at the moment.
The little one drew a picture of me and her together holding hands - her hair is straight and mine is a mass of curls - obviously how she sees things. It's quite funny so have cut it and put it in a frame, makes me smile.
Hoping the poorlies are feeling better, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another grey, damp and windy day forecast. What's happened to bright and sunny days, giving us hope there is better to come!
I had a good day out yesterday. Ilkley hasn't changed much since our last visit but there is the addition of two new upmarket charity shops! Nothing bought in them but I did spot a brand new with tags shopper (M & S) in CR and a brand new Joules sweater in Martin House. Lucky finds that came home with me. Lunch enjoyed and much chatting done before heading home.
After two days of ladies wot lunches, today I am confined to barracks and will be a lady wot cleans instead. I know which I prefer! I have a parcel to pick up in town but I may leave that until tomorrow when the forecast isn't quite so grim. I need a freezer dive for today's meals. As it's getting easier to see what's in there I'll see what appeals.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Day off for me today and I’m going for a run shortly. We are off to London mid-afternoon as it’s DS1’s birthday and we are eating out then going to the theatre. He doesn’t know and is popping in this morning so we’ll need to be sneaky.
Good that you are being recognised for the litter picking @mehefin and helping with funding applications - you wear many hats! XAnnoying about the heating engineer @camelot1001 but did smile at little ones picture - so precious xx
Some good buys there @TravellingAbuela x
Glad you got out and about with O @RedRuby1231 and good that things are moving quickly with the clinic x
Have a good day all and hugs to our poorlies.

Back.
Yesterday my almost new electric throw stopped working, only bought it in late December, so been in contact with the Amazon seller. Got a message asking 'what do you mean not working?' - I tried hard not to write a sarcastic message back. 🤔
Whilst my cleaner was here I took away a rubbish bag and then went on a short trip down to Tarbet, had a coffee in the lovely Italian cafe and came home again. It was good to get out.
This morning I have an appointment in the big town for my ears to be suctioned again. They are better than the other week but no point in cancelling. Then I'm going straight down to Glasgow for Lionel's cremation tomorrow. His death notice is in The Herald this morning though they have managed to mangle his surname with his degrees. His niece is going to phone to get it sorted! The event will be very short, in, five minutes of music, no speeches and then out again. We'll probably go for coffee before dispersing. I'm staying with Alan tonight and then home tomorrow.
Well done @RedRuby1231 for getting O out and about. Nothing better than a bit of fresh air. How cute @camelot1001, seeing ourselves through the eyes of a child is interesting. Great finds @TravellingAbuela. Have a fab time @Coxy11. Good news about your little one @dp1.
Now it's time for another coffee before setting off. Have a good day, hugs to all.

Good morning
Wet and windy again after a dry day yesterday. I took advantage of the weather and went shopping. I had a look in Farmfoods, lots of processed food, not for us, although I did manage to spend £16, but for that I got 4 blocks of mature cheddar, 6 large pork chops and half a kilo of pork belly. Oh and 2 boxes of cappuccino sachets, so pleased with that. It does mean that the freezer is rammed again, I don't think I'll ever run it down.
Tonight will be the belly slices, maybe with some garlic roast potatoes.
Ruby, good that you got out with O, the fresh air will do him good.
Hugs to all the sad and poorlies, have a good day all, take care.

DP1 hopefully this lot of cream will work Camelot it’s funny how kids see us they do make you laugh. I’m going to meet my friend for a coffee today I’ve never seen her since the new year she only lives in the next village. Nothing much happening here I’ve taken sausage out of the freezer it hasn’t left much of a gap I’m making toad in the hole tonight and a shephards pie has come out for tomorrow night it’s still a long way off been anywhere near organised but I suppose it’s saving me a bit of money. Gers it will be nice when tomorrow is over everything seems to have happened so quickly but you will be left with happy memories . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Well done with the litter picking Mehefin, we do have some volunteers round here but the local high school kids soon mess it up again on their walk home.
Glad you have a quick appt RRuby.
Taff put your feet up!
Gers, hope Lionels funeral goes as well as it can tomorrow,
TA, sounds like you've had a nice couple of days.

Camelot I kept a lot of the art work from DGC, treasured memories now they're 12 & 14. DGD would prob be horrified if she saw them now 🤣
We are having a tonne bag of logs delivered at some point today so some will need bringing in and the others stacking in the wood store, DH won't be fit for that so it'll be DS and I.Not sure on tea,we had a nice birthday tea yesterday for DS.
Take care all

Morning all, yesterday when going up to Dads we nearly had an accident as some idiot came straight out of their drive into the road in front of us. Good job Mr fix It still has a good reaction time and there were no lampposts as we had to swerve up on the pavement ! It took ages for my heart to slow down.
This morning I was woken by some workmen digging up the pavement outside our house which no one told us about. We did have a letter saying that the National Grid are going to be working there tomorrow and we'll have no electric all day, but no mention of work today. We'll be alright as we have a gas cooker so we can make hot drinks/ food and we can layer up to keep warm but I won't be able to post. Shame they couldn't have done it during the spring/summer though when it's warmer.
After delivering the shopping we called in at the meat van so today I have some meat packs to split and freeze. Then other than that I have still some store cupboard shopping to put away and tea tonight will be a hm curry from the freezer and either rice or jackets.
Gers I hope tomorrow goes as well as it can, hugs to all involved. Hope you get the throw sorted too.
Remmie I haven't been to Farmfoods for ages, I'll have to visit the new one on the outskirts of the city. Well done on your finds though.
TA lucky you for finding a new trolley and sweater. Well done, I never find bargains.
Enjoy your day if you're galavanting. Hugs to all. Take care all
