DCB Legal - Letter of claim

edited 10 February at 1:21PM in Parking tickets, fines & parking

Hey all, I am a newbie and this is what I have done so far:

I have responded to the letter of claim, using the template from the newbie thread.

I just want to check if I did it correctly:

I sent my response via email to the email at the top right of this letter.

The reference I used was the one below the date on the first page. Is this the correct reference number to use in the response letter, or am I supposed to use the parking charge reference from page 2?

I am not sure if what I am about to say is relevant but, I along with at least 10+ people have been using this car park to drop the kids off for afterschool activities. we have been doing this for years. Usually it's just a quick drop off, sometimes people would come early and wait 5-10 mins before the lesson starts, then drop their kids off and leave.

The fines have come out of nowhere, but we were told to ignore it as the guy leading the class was in communication the the car park owner, who gave them their word that it will be cancelled.(clearly it has not)

I'm just stressed because I don't want this to have an impact on my ability to get a mortgage.

Sorry for the rambling and thanks in advance.

Just wait for the inevitable Money Claim to arrive in the post and defend it using our advice and eventually they will discontinue before the hearing fee deadline date

    AS ABOVE ,,,,, JUST WAIT

How many tickets were they. ?

NOTE The claim is fake, DCBL has added a fake amount which at this stage they call debt recovery. This is the OSNER SCAM

When it comes to a court claim they will call it DAMAGES which is rubbish and designed to mislead you and a judge.

PLUS DCBL have gone against the Supreme court ruling which said the cost of the parking ticket was set to cover the operation of the scheme …….. DCBL will try it on but judges know better and of course DCBL will have to explain about DAMAGES. As this is a fabrication, it means DCBL will discontinue or suffer a court spanking where you can claim your costs. PLAY THE DCBL GAME as 100's have done before you

Tell the other 10+ people to do as Gr1pr advised.

Do keep on at the class leader but try to get in an email from him the pcns were to be cancelled. Even try an email to the car park owner yourselves.

It will have NO IMPACT in your credit rating to happily defend a court claim.

A small claim is not a CCJ. The only people who risk that are those who don't update their logbook addresses or don't tell the parking scammers when they move house. All letters must be read & checked that they aren't a Claim Form (Google for an image of one).

CCJs are also a thing for those who fail to defend … but come on, it's easy!

To posters who are here with a Claim Form (which you will get) it's copy & paste stuff when you defend and we will hold everyone's hands until their cases are ALL discontinued within a year.

No cost. No risk. No CCJs.!

The fines have come out of nowhere

But none of you have any fines!

Send them ALL here. Get them to read the official MSE Guide to Private Parking tickets linked under the red 'MSE Links' icon at the top of every page.

Start a Whatsapp group and show them all this reply and Martin Lewis' newly checked Guide written and linked by MSE themselves.

DO NOT LET ANYONE PANIC & PAY.

This is so easy and this is the start of the end game.

I sent my response via email to the email at the top right of this letter.

The reference I used was the one below the date on the first page. Is this the correct

Yep. That's what solicitors mean by 'our ref'. Not that it matters whether people reply to a LBC or not but PLEASE (please) don't show us DCB Legal's reply.

We hope nobody will show us that drivel reply ever again. Search the forum or Google a phrase from it. You'll see!

They also added a pdf with photos of my car parked in the car park.

I am going to check the sticky thread to see what to do next for now. Any tips and guidance from here would greatly appreciated.
