Smart Parking Ltd, Parking Fine

I have just received a letter from DCBL asking me to pay a parking fine for overstaying at a Smart Parking Ltd car park in July 2024 between 6am and 730am.

I haven't received any previous letters to appeal etc due to moving house and not updating the V5 log book (I did update driving licence before this took place and assumed that's all I needed to do).

The car park has a 30min free parking unless you put your reg into the tablet provided whilst using the gym...with this being over 1.5years ago I can't remember if I used the tablet, if the tablet wasn't working or I simply forgot.

With this being said, I have proof that I was exercising during this timeframe via my fitness watch/app and that I am a member of the gym on site.

Where do I stand in regards to having to pay this?

You dont have to pay aa penny unless a judge says so in court, so don't pay

I suggest that you study the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

Ignore the powerless debt collectors letters

Ideally follow plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, complain about it to the business or landlord or landowner ASAP and get it cancelled

You will never have to pay this invoice at any point. But you don't even have a fine!

Don't show us the £170 threatograms along the way. We never want to see them. Those are already in pictures in NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
