Morning Gers and all to follow
It’s been raining most of the night but stopped now and we are meant to have sun later before more rain for the rest of the week, I am off to see O today and hoping I can get him out for some fresh air at some point.Painter came yesterday and gave a good quote I need to look at the finances but I think we can get both the kitchen and utility / toilet done, the kitchen needs a freshen up.
Dinner tonight will be Fahitas nice and quick, I have put a wash on this morning and will put it on the airer before I leave for work. The GP phoned me back to say he has contacted the breast clinic to refer me, I got an email from them later in the day with an appointment next Tuesday so it will be good to get them to check things over.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Good morning, thanks Gersl
II's the usual damp morning here, yesterday was so cold it hurt my face. There were little sleet showers as well.
I went to Morries for a few essentials and was glad to get home. We still went to the quiz last night though, it's a break from being in the house and we meet friends.
Today, who knows what today will bring, I'm hoping for sunshine and 30°, but don't suppose it'll happen!
Hoping everyone is keeping warm and safe in this awful weather, it's as bad as January! Thought to our sad and poorly people, take care folks.

Morning all
Feels cold this morning but at least it's going to be dry today.
A bit of housework to do this morning then putting the breadmaker on for a loaf. Got some pansies yesterday and we're expecting some sun today so once it comes out I'll go outside and plant them up.
Nothing else planned for today apart from starting a new online book from the public library so that'll keep me occupied.
Have a good day all x

Morning GERS and all to follow. Wow RUBY that's good service, it's nice to hear good things about our ailing NHS for a change.
Another sleepless night, I am fed up of this waking up in the wee small hours, tossing and turning and waiting for a civilised time to get up. I keep hoping I might have a good catch up sleep now and again but it doesn't happen.
I finally had lunch with DF yesterday after the neverending coughing bug had her laid low for 6 weeks. I know a few on here have been struck down with it. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, a couple of glasses of vino and much catching up. Afterwards I had an unexpected bargain shop in town. Some stocking fillers to stash away from the Boots 70% off sale. Then a good saving in H & B. £21 worth of items for £11 thanks to 3 for 2, loyalty card discount and £5 worth of accumulated points. I felt very MSE after that!
Today is bus ride day with my bus buddy and, stand back in amazement, we are not going to Skipton! We are going to Ilkley for a change. A browse, hopefully no spending, and then lunch. I just hope it's not as cold as yesterday as it was absolutely bitter all day. But at least we didn't get the forecast sleet or rain, just a nithering wind .Brr.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. TAFF I'm sorry you didn't have very good news about your health. Try and slow down a bit and take it easy. YL happy new washer day, I hope it's delivered as promised. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x .
Don’t get too excited on my behalf - I’m working today! Yes I know, what a miracle. Might even manage 5 hours you never know. I took the bull by the horns yesterday and messaged boss with a list of things I could/should be doing for her. We will discuss that this morning. I also applied for zero hour exam invigilating - will see what that brings.
Glad your GP had referred you @RedRuby1231 and that the decorator was reasonable xEnjoy Ilkley @TravellingAbuela x
Hope you’re doing okay @-taff - my friend is due a pacemaker lookilikey gadget this month - just to regulate things for her. Take care x
Have a good day all

What a great fast response @RedRuby1231, well done that GP surgery.
Spring is coming @ScarletRibbons - the wee snowdrops are beginning to peek up. There are large banks of them around here as well as along the hedgerows.
Pansies are such cheerful flowers @Chrisca50, another promise of Spring.
Enjoy Ilkley @TravellingAbuela, another lovely place.
Good idea to list what works needs done to your employer @Coxy11, get those hours in.
Glad you have a lovely meal last night @IzzyBee - finding a good place is always a pleasure.
Because my main induction hob has a crack in it (painter stood on it!) I bought a wee one plate portable hob to supplement the others. The broken ones still works but I'm wary of it. Yesterday, whilst making the soup, the kitchen electrical stuff stopped working as the fuse tripped. I reset it and found that the portable hob was broken, managed to finish the soup on the main hob. I've had the single one for a number of years so it really owes me nothing but I like to have it so ordered a new one from JL. I had £30 in vouchers so it didn't cost much.
For the soup I used passata instead of tinned tomatoes and found it to be a better texture and not so acidic. A bit more expensive but worth it. I added a tin of cannellini beans to make it even more healthy!
Today my cleaner is coming so I've checked and tidied things, not that there's much to do. Glass jars are ready to go to the tip along with the rubbish bag and the dead hob.
I hope that everyone is doing well, warm and dry. Take care. Hugs to all.

Hello all, thanks for the start off Gers. Surprise, surprise it's raining here again, I'm fed up of saying that.
Last night the council came to mend some of the potholes in our road, in the rain and in the dark, they may have had blindfolds on too as the job looks to be roughly done.
I had a rubbish night with very little sleep as Mr Fix it wasn't feeling well, he thinks it may be a reaction to his new cancer meds, but I still kept an eye on him as he's normally not one for moaning. We're like the cast of the walking dead today 😁
This morning we have a sm delivery and all items are available and correct. I'll sort it then take Dads up to him, he's ordered all rubbish again, biscuits and cakes mainly despite me badgering him to get some proper food. I think this afternoon we'll both be having a nana nap ! I have no idea as to tea today but there's plenty to choose from although I've been off my food these last couple of days.
Ruby that's quick service, I hope everything is ok.
Right the delivery is here so I'd better get myself into gear. Thake care all, hugs to everyone.
nan xx

Morning everyone
Yes, it's still raining here! I would like 30 degrees and sunshine too scarlet ribbons
Work was good yesterday, it was nice to see everyone again. I was shattered when I got home so I sat with my feet up and a cuppa and finished my Sunday Times. Not at work today so I'll go down to mam and dads and then for my shopping, then I need to go into town this afternoon to collect a prescription, I'll have a look round the charity shops too.
DD has taken little one to the hospital at Newcastle this morning, they must have left about 6am as she texted to say they were there at 7.15…hopefully they won't have too long to wait. Little one's tubey hole is still infected, so she wants a doctor to look at it, there's no point taking her to a doctor here has none of them have seen one.
Redruby - good news about your quick appointment
Pleased you enjoyed your meal out Izzy
Right best get moving, hope everyone has a good day x

Morning! Rained all day yesterday so Sally Army this morning, followed by potential tree lopping at the allotment and yes, it's time to cut grass again! I think I've had a two month break from that instead of a five month one…welcome to crazy weather…Otherwise nothing doing today, I kind of decided to put my feet up but you know what happens then, you discover something you should or want to do and away you go on the endless jobs train :) It's because we have a little bit of sun, it's making me think it's nicer than it is :) I made a mash-up of freezer things last night to make a beef stew, there's some of that left, a piece of lasagna, and I mandolined some potatoes yesterday when I was going to make a bacon, cheese and potato pie but used the bacon to make lentil and bacon soup instead, so they have to be cooked today. Potential dauphinoise-esque potatoes of some kind…I'm a bit all over the plce with the cooking.
Ruby, good to hear you're being seen rapidly. Izzy, of course you have a heart, you're not the Tin Man :) And maybe you can ask for a cheeky freebie for putting the restaurant a bit more on the map :) Nanny, hope Mr Fixit starts tolerating the drugs better..and really, just stop worrying about making your father do stuff…you can lead a horse to water etc….dp1, fingers crossed for rapid treatment for dgc, and yeah, put your feet up! Coxy, it is quite amusing that your job boss needs to be told what needs doing…hopefully you'll get a result. TA, enjoy the change of scenery! Chris, how lovely to have some bright pansies about the place, a bit of colour really helps… Take care all, still wrap up though just in case….
