Wi Fi Dead spot
I want to install one outdoor Wi-Fi camera in my garden .
Problem is the wifi is too weak to connect to camera.
I don't want to mess around with extra cables so I was thinking of using Home Plugs which use the internal mains cables to move broadband around the home.
I already have two TP link home plugs in use
One is connected via cable to my router and the other plug is upstairs and connected to my pc via a cable.
Can I purchase another TP link or similar Home plug to plug in a mains socket nearer to camera position that will give out a WI FI signal
Thank for reading

A Home plug on its own won't give you a wifi signal, all that does is extend the range effectively of a wired connection.
What you really want is a Wifi access point which you could connect to a Homeplug to, providing that can see the other ones.

Sounds like you need a Mesh system. I have a victorian semi over four floors and used to have range extender plugs on each floor. They were rubbish. We'd get up to 600mbps next to the router on the ground floor but the signal on the 2nd floor never went above 8mbps.
So I bought a cheap Mesh system, where you plug one unit into the router and put the other(s) wherever you want them, and we now have at least 160mbps in every room and even 60mbps down the end of the garden.
I have a solar wifi spotlight camera on the garden shed , a video doorbell on the front door, a smart tv on the second floor that runs on wifi, and various security cameras inside the house. On the mesh network they all work fine.

Which mesh system please, and which ISP and router?

I ended up buying two Mercusys Halo systems, one with three "Halos" and one with two, so I could put one "Halo" on each floor (bear in mind one has to be hardwired into the router to act as the hub for the rest). They do them on Amazon starting around £80 for three basic units, which may be enough if you only have a two floor house.
Our house isnt big but we converted the basement and the loft, so there's a lot of floor/ceiling to get a signal through. It'd be a good idea to check the specs before you buy though as they do different models with different numbers of channels and signal strengths, etc. I think the more channels the unit has the better, as on the Mercusys phone app you can optimise your network to avoid overlap/interference with neighbours WIFI signals. I'm sure others in here will know more about that.
As for ISP, I was with Virgin with a 300mbps router, phone and basic TV, but they kept putting their prices up until it was ridiculously expensive. So I gave up the TV package (which was not much more than Freeview anyway) and switched to YouFibre on their 900mbps deal, with internet phone, and saved about £80 a month! So that paid for the Mesh system in no time.
Good luck.

I have ordered the Mercusys 1500 mesh system which contains 3 units altogether.
Thank you all for your comments and advice I will update the results once system installed.
