Morning all grey but dry at the moment. DH was up earlier than of late - he's taken the camper van to the garage for an adjustment, but because the other car is still stuck at another garage waiting its turn ( 2 weeks now 🙄) he'll have to get a taxi back, and another later ( hopefully) to pick it up. He chose today as Tues. is our 'day off' from the school run.
Enjoy your trip Allie.
I enjoy a good shawarma RRuby, not tried it with halloumi though. Our tea will be something with mince.
Right better get my boots on for Ldogs walk through the park, very muddy yesterday. Take care all

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Terrible night again, didn't get to sleep until 4am
Forecast says 100% chance of rain for most of the day, so I'll stay in the warm. Plenty to do but doubt if I'll actually get much done.
Take care

Morning all! It's raining but that gives me a reason to do some indoor stuff, what I don't know..the washing and magic cupboard are on…Went to Wales at the weekend, came back with a bootful of linens and clothes to go to the Sally Army later if it lets up a bit. As I was emptying the wardrobes I was talking to them in my head, saying things like, Well, what did you expect us to do with it all? and having a moan at them…One of the black bags contains nothing but new clothes, with the tags still attached. A couple or more of them have brand new packaged bedding…such a waste honestly. Two tip runs later you can actually see the bed again. I also saw my dads best friend who has just had an all clear, so great news there, gave him his Christmas cake and persuaded him to wear a top he was talking about that was 'too good' because if he doesn't, it'll just go the way of the bootful of stuff I have…Saw the heart nurse Thursday, results of scans not great but new medication and a possible defibrillator implant [not sure of the exact wording, whether possible or probable as I've not been told anything, just what the heart nurse received as an email from consultant, who apparently should have been seeing me a few years ago, I slipped through the net somehow….] Rubbish news about our builder though, he has pancreatic cancer and has been given 6-9 months. Such an awful thing. I'm really gutted for him, he became a good friend over the build.
Wishing the lurgied rapid recoveries. dp1, good news about the smart cover then, it's the little things sometimes that make life easier :) Gers, hope the visit goes well, always a heart-wrenching time, but great that you can work together. Nanny, no use crying over spilt flour…actually, you can, but it'll stick like burgery :) it's just one of them days :) Ruby, good to hear your room is nearly up and running again. Rosy, happy birthday to ds1! and a happy birthday to anyone I've missed lately…Take care all, don't let the sods win….

Morning everyone
Still raining here! I'm back at work at lunchtime, I'm looking forward to seeing the little ones again.
I took mam for some shopping yesterday, but she didn't buy much. I'm planning to have a good look in her fridge and freezer at the weekend, as everything I said that would be nice, she said she already had.
Then I went to the doctors about my knee which is still painful almost a year after falling on it, he will refer to an osteopath, but was unsure whether he had to refer me back to physio first. He was such a nice doctor, one who I haven't seen before and not in a hurry to get me back out the door!
Gers thanks for the info on Lionel's research, it's interesting.
Right best make a move, hope everyone has a good day x
