Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
It seems chilly this morning but not raining yet, yesterday was quite nice with a bit of sunshine in the afternoon.
Strange your post came up later Ruby, it was a bit confusing seeing it as 7.15am!
Not a lot happening here, had some lovely left over haggis, neaps and tatties for my dinner last night, there's still enough for tonight too.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning all
Dry out there at the moment but the weather forecast predicts rain from 10am until at least 7pm. I might have to get DH to build an ark at this rate!
Nothing planned today except getting the breadmaker out to make a brown loaf. Picked up the wrong flour in the supermarket last week so will do my favourite fruit loaf tomorrow instead!
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Not a very pleasant day is forecast - sleet showers for most of the day.
Another night of very little sleep, in fact awake more than asleep and I feel like a wet rag before the day even gets going. It's supposed to be lunch with DF today but I await the confirmation text of whether it's on or off. As usual it's dependent on one of their ailments. If the weather is as nasty as forecast I may be glad if she cancels.
A long phone chat with bus buddy yesterday, back home after their coach trip. I'll be hearing all about it when we trip off on our bus ride tomorrow. I don't know how many more little trips they will manage as her DH is slowly going downhill with his dementia. So sad.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx ps RUBY how odd about your much delayed post.

Thanks to all who have posted so far this morning.
I missed yesterday as I had to get up early for some invigilating - managed a whizz around the shops afterwards for some upcoming birthday gifts.
I’m off to Cheshire in the campervan for a few days - goodness knows if it’s the right decision - have been awaiting a break in the wet and dreary weather and it looked promising but have woken up to torrential rain! Anyway I feel like I need a break so I’ll either hibernate or get wet!Best wishes to all those who are feeling unwell or sad, or looking after others

Good morning,thanks Gers.
It's a miserable start here, and yesterday was a raw grey day.
We went out for a pub lunch yesterday, just to brighten ourselves up a bit!
There's jobs round the house to do today, and a parcel to collect from the little Sains up the road.
Sorry to see that you're not getting work in Coxy, hope it picks up a bit.
It's sad about your bus buddy's Dh TA, dementia is a cruel illness. I think we all fear it.
Thoughts to the sad, lonely, and poorly today. Take care folks.

Dawn is slowly clearing the sky although it's still steely grey. On my way back home the day became glorious, like a very cold summer day. Once home I slumped. I got things ready to make soup but then didn't do it. I tidied the coffee table in readiness for the cleaner tomorrow
Had to phone my consultant to reschedule the planned telephone consult Friday as Lionel's niece confirmed it for the direct cremation. If anything untoward showed on the CT scan I'm sure that he'd have been in touch earlier.
Enjoy your days away @AlwaysAllie, same with your shopping trip @TravellingAbuela. Hope the chiropodist is gentle with you @Suffolksue. Take care all, keep dry and warm. Hugs to all. 💕4 -
Morning all
Raining here and set in for the day it’s really nasty looking out there, I have my two people coming today and one of them has to be home earlier than usual as he has the dentist so we are having another at home day we will walk the dogs this morning and then finish the film we started last week, I need to pop into a shop when Ive dropped them off to get some tomatoes and a loaf.
I have my painter friend coming after work to quote for the painting I hope it’s not too much 🤞
Dinner tonight will be halloumi shawarma - a new recipe to us but looks very tasty I have some flat breads to serve with it. I have put a wash on this morning but it will have to dry in front of the fire overnight.
Very strange about my post yesterday just one of those things I think.
Have good days all and take care xx4 -
Morning all,
Delighted to say I slept in until 8am today which is unheard of - must have needed it after yesterday’s very early start. DH and I are going to the town today to run a few errands. Dinner is smoked salmon and pea pasta - yum.
Hope the GP can put your mind at rest @RedRuby1231 and the painting quote isn’t too bad 🤞🏻
Enjoy your trip out @TravellingAbuela x
Have a good few days away @AlwaysAllie x
Hugs to all our poorlies x

Good morning from wet Mehefinland
Yesterday was a good day ! It was dry hence the roof repair was finally done and not too expensive. Well a lot less than I was anticipating anyway.
At the same time the fencing contractor came to put the new fence in between me and next door ( alpaca land) ready for the tree planting - none of which I am having to pay for.
Glad they both came yesterday as the weather has deteriorated today and for the forseeable future.
Then choir in the evening which was good fun but exhausting. The chap singing next to me cannot hold a note and wanders allover the place- it's quite off putting but funny too in a weird way. Just have to concentrate and sing louder to drown him out lol. Came home shattered and then like so many could not sleep.
Tonight is council with 2 new ones starting. The first as a result of the by-election we had to have ( at great expense) and the second from an uncontested by-election- no idea if we will get a charge for that one. Could be a lively meeting.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
