Praise for credit cards.
i was out with a friend and when he went to pay his MBNA credit card had been blocked, turns out someone had got into it and was trying to use it fraudulently.
I also recently had a text about unusual activity on my M&S credit card, this also was unauthorised by me.
So it seems CC companies are at last taking an active roll in fraud prevention.

Though playing devils advocate, similar anti-fraud measures are implemented by banks for their debit cards too.

Bit of a coincidence, you and your mate both getting dodgy CC activity.
Any recent joint visits/spend to less, er, established venues? Dodgy clubs or bars, corner shops, fast-food joints?

No his was from an Amazon seller and mine from entering a free competition on FB! Lesson learnt!

Didn't having to enter credit card details for a "free" competition ring a big alarm bell?
