Ah well, vibes appreciated but, sadly, pon this occasion, no joy.
Have taken ebay sale to PO and I walked. Have to say I do like this automatic label printing they do now. I've been ebaying so long I remember when you had to wait for a cheque to arrive in the post and pay it in to the bank and wait for it to clear before you sent your item!
Broke a pyrex jug so it looks like I'll be going shopping tomorrow if the promised snow allows.
Ironed everything that needed it and it's on airers now.

Evening all.
Glad you made it to the doc's, YL. I hope the tests bring some answers x
Sorry the Flylady vibes didn't work for your DD on this occasion Valli. Better luck next time x
I have had a busy day but didn't do much flying beyond the usual dailies and washing DH's bedding, which is now twirling in the TD. I've made two of the cakes we need for the Sunday afternoon church service (or rather, after the service!); I went to Knit & Natter; from there I drove to the far side of the borough for a blood test prior to my LTC review (the earliest available appointment being at the hospital furthest away from us); and on my way home I popped into MrAl for some more baking ingredients. It's been a horrid grey, rainy day and I was only too happy to get back in one piece and go round shutting all the blinds and curtains. Tea is bubbling on the hob and can be ready on the table within 5 minutes of DH getting back from model railway club. He actually remembered to take the last of his birthday cakes with him to share with his mates 😲
Will catch up again with everyone at some point tomorrow xxx

DW emptied and re-loaded. Washing machine is on now and I'll load the airer before bed.
Today has been a good admin day - 2 old work notebooks shredded. I think my former colleagues are still talking about the same things 2 years after I retired. 10 minutes of general filing and shredding. Banking is all up to date. And best of all we have herded 7 family members and been able to book a family mini break in the summer.

Just jogging along here as usual. Routine stuff done, washing of clothes/dishes under control despite weather being too wet to hang clothes out.
Flying and meal plan/shopping list done in preparation for BIL's visit.
Work, exercise and drumming done as expected.
Not much else to say really! I'll think of something when I've logged off….
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.5 -
Morning all,
Hope you feel more yourself soon, YL. Sorry the vibes didn’t work this time, Valli. Next time…
Another one plodding along here. They grey and rain is uninspiring - that’s my excuse. Washing up to date, I have an ironing pile for today. Kitchen is being kept on top of. Yesterday I changed bedding and dusted our bedroom. Once I have dried my hair in a bit, I will vacuum the floor. No point doing so before then. I intend to clean the en suite as well. We will see. I spent many hours yesterday nibbling away at my admin frog. It is slowly getting to a manageable state. Did a couple of other admin niggles as well. Mr M due to deliver this afternoon. The meal plan has been jigged so many times already this week that it has almost been rendered useless.
Narc0 - you are well ahead of me - exercise such as I do has gone out of the window this past week or two. I must get back to it.

I've not really recovered from our weekend away, so all I'm doing is the absolute minimim. Wren had a few 'accidents' while we were away and has continued to do so since we got back so there's been a fair amount of carpet washing. Fortunately where we were staying they have a dog and flagstones so that wasn't too much of a problem, but we've got carpets.
WM x 2, pegged out, rained on, brought in, dangled all over the kitchen and dining room. Some vacuumming done.
Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.6 -
I managed to get some washing dried outside today as it was a very bright, sunny day. I love line dried bed linen.
Did a circuit of the house cleaning various bits of glass - wardrobe doors, shower screen, fireplace, bathroom window and bathroom cabinet.
I'm currently reading Atomic Habits and the section about goals and systems really resonated with flying. The book describes how we all have goals such as get fitter, lose weight, save up lots of money but it is the consistent application of our habits and systems that get you moving towards the goal. My goal is to have a clean and tidy house - my systems are to have minimal clutter (working on this), a place for everything and everything in its place (definitely still work in progress) and use the fly lady method. I find that the rolling rota of zones helps keep ahead of mess and dirt. I never thought I would enjoy cleaning and tidying, but I am!
