Hi can anyone tell me how long it took to receive an acceptance reply after filling out the initial survey, from the company we are not allowed to mention?
Thanks.Nyks Interest Beater £29/£2600 -
Hi
Has anyone dealt with Buzz Back or Dubit?
ThanksNyks Interest Beater £29/£2600 -
A little tiny rant because I am fed up - spent 15 mins filling out a survey to be told I am not suitable and I get nothing for my time!
I've joined - One poll, Toluna, Yougov, Lightspeed, Panelbase and globaltestmarket and am getting really frustrated because I just don't seem to be getting any invites to surveys - or if I do I am unsuitable.
I have to admit that onepoll is worth the slog - I'm up to £10 already in 4 weeks and with Toluna I have just cashed in 30,000 points for a £5 sainsbury's voucher (worth the time and hassle? NO !) but as for the rest of them I have heard nowt. I've been invited to take part in surveys that you get entered into prize draws for but none (bar 1 each I think and none since those invites) for actuall hard cash on my account balance. I've filled in all the lifestyle surveys they want you to do so they can find out about you.
I just feel really frustrated - I've done all the hard work but I either get no invites or I am unsuitable or i get put in a prize drawer.
I have tried 'moneybackmadness' but I just don't get it and I also don't think I go on enough of thier websites to earn anything. If they included ebay then I would !!!
Does anyone feel the same frustration as me? (I'm not normally so grumpy!!!)BR May 2006 - Discharged May 2007£10 a month christmas food savings - £10 so farCleverly disguised as a responsible adult!!!0 -
registered with dubit on the 8th jan, have not recieved any surveys from them yet. joined Buzzback couple of weeks ago and the same no surveys. I think Buzzback is like acop, don't receive survey's that often but when you do, they pay you for that survey so don't need to reach a certain amount like all the other online survey companies.0

i havent had much luck with surveys either apart from one which ive been told im not allowed to mention. They ask you all the info when you sign up and then they screen you out waste of your time. I dont think your alone.:footie:0

not alone at all!! the balance below,is my total for like 2 years...no joke! lol
although I always used to miss them, I try and get them quickly now. The 2 I have always been on are YouGov and Valued Opinions...Valued Opinions always say too many people have already answered and it is closed....or I dont qualify, and YouGov, prize draws all the time! To be fair I have only taken proper notice of the emails the past month and i think I have got paid cash ones maybe twice. As for Global test market, I dont think it agrees with me, I get half way through and it gets an error, or I try and fill my details in at the end and it goes blank....I'm hoping it is just teething problems as I only joined them this month....
I think to make the most out of it you have to try and make yourself qualify, if it asks if you have pets, you say yes, 5 dogs 3 cats and a gerbil! not, yes one cat (as a lot of people will say that) but quite often its hard to know what they are after.
Also, make yourself out to be the most influential in the household. They won't want your answers otherwise, or that's the impression I get....still after implementing all those rules, I may have gone up from 6 paid surveys in 3 years to 2 paid surveys a month.....is it worth it?....Not sure to be honest! lol
I may have to join that onepoll you mentioned!:rolleyes:0 -
I guess it just depends on individual profiles, such as family circumstances or current income or age... Students, for instance, don't tend to do that well (so I'm told, anyway) due to the lack of disposable income. Half of these survey companys' clients use the surveys not just as research but as stealth advertising. People also sometimes find that when they turn past a certain birthday they start getting more surveys, or indeed fewer!
I get screened out of certain types, especially anything for parents (no kids) or convenience food or alcopops (not my thing) but do tend to get far more on things like travel, telecoms and work (self employed). I tend to get Global Test Market almost every day, usually several a day. Of those I probably get through to about 2/3 of them. Yougov comes in fits and starts - sometimes once a month, sometimes several a week. Valued Ops come through a couple of times a week, Ipsos maybe once a week at the moment and I tend not to get screened out of those too often. Toluna come through several times a week and I get through to about half, although I don't actually bother to do them all. Lightspeed come through in clusters at about the same time every month (I'm sure it's an alphabetical thing) and I get through to most of them. TNS are usually once a month for me.
Generally I steer clear of prize draw ones as requiring too much effort for too little reward although I do manage to do GFK every day (I live in hope and the odds are very good - 1 in 7 apparently).
I've been doing these surveys for about 2 years now and I have to say that you really have to regard them as just generating a little bit extra on the side - something to help with the christmas shopping. No-one, more's the pity, gets to give up the day job :-0 Gradually you learn which ones to ditch (ahem "Ciao" ahem) and just stick with the ones which seem fair.
Hope you have more luck soon!Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
I don't qualify for a lot of surveys as I am singe with no kids, no car, no TV and a low income, but I find YouGov and OnePoll offer me more general opinion polls, rather than consumer based ones.I love finding more ways of making money that cost me little or nothing0

Thanks for all your replies- I will continue with onepoll and the occasional yougov but think that I will ditch the rest and try a different avenue of cash!
