morning everyone hallelujah January is over not that it’s much brighter today I’ve got a wash load on there was a burst yesterday so we are without water for a few hours on the afternoon while they fixed it so I couldn’t put the washer on and I had stripped the beds but it doesn’t matter there’s nothing urgent. I didn’t save as much as I hoped last month must do better this month food prices are still going up and no sign of them coming down although my freezers are still full I am to easily swayed by a bargain. Yorkshire puddings and veg for later meat is cooked then I need to sort a meal plan out for the rest of the week in fact I might do it for the month and get a grip on these freezers . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all
Raining here again and meant to be all day, I have a wash on the go and another to go in after they will have to go on the airer.OH is going great guns in the utility/ toilet, floor is all done and yesterday he put the skirting on in the loo and boxed in the pipes at the back of the loo, he just has the utility to put skirting on, do the worktop and put the cupboard on the wall, I have told him to have a day off today as he was tired having worked all week, another day or so should see it done, I have a painter friend coming Tuesday to quote, I will get him to price up doing the kitchen as well to see if we can afford it.
I have been after a set of vintage sweet shop scales for ages, I found some on FB market place and we went and got them Friday they are beautiful and take pride of place in the kitchen, I shall use them when I am doing baking etc, much nicer than the modern ones.Dinner tonight will be pie and roasties and veg, the soup yesterday was delicious and four portions left in the freezer it will do for a sauce for a chilli or lasagne.
Housework to do today to get ready for the week and then a lazy afternoon.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning everyone, bit wet here. We were warned yesterday that a roofer would be coming at 9 this morning to fix next doors leaky kitchen roof. All the clanging and shouting has put Lendog off going into the back garden. I need to take him out soon as we want to call at the sm for a card for DS1s birthday and perhaps some wine for him.
There is a pork joint doing its thing in the sc.
Gers sorry you're having a sad time- hugs.
I think we're all glad to see the back of January!
Take care all.

Morning all, I think I'd better go back to bed !
Yesterday I took some thick sliced beef from the freezer and this morning went to put it into the slow cooker ready for tea today….. turned out it was liver, two bags of it ! Anyway thought I'd flour it and threw the flour everywhere 😠so it's liver and onions for tea. And to top it off someone has parked over our drive, blocking us in so I've put a note on the windscreen. Oh dear I'm grumpy today !
I'm having a coffee then I'll tackle the mess in the kitchen, looks like a flour bomb has gone off !!
Hugs to all. Hopefully I'll be in a better mood tomorrow.
nan xx

Hello everyone
Still grey and drizzly here
I've been down to mam and dads this morning, done the banking, bought him a nose trimmer ( yuck) and mam a new purse from Amazon and put new audiobooks on his tablet. Taff - the cover I bought from ebay is thankfully both the right size and wakes up when he opens it.
Little one stayed on Friday night, it was so lovely to have her back again - her alarm went off 3 times during the night so it was a very broken nights sleep…for me anyways she slept through them all, even getting her finger pricked!
We went to the cinema to see a Spongebob Squarepants movie yesterday, which was better than I expected and very funny. Then home to play with Barbies and then doctors - she had me wrapped in bandages!
I've washed my bedding this morning, as I got some blood on the duvet cover when I pricked her finger - it's draped on the airer next to the dehumidifier.
I finally feel better so I've told my manager I'll be back at work on Tuesday, I'm only doing 3 afternoons now, so I can take mam for her shopping on Mondays.
Right, I've got a couple of jobs to do then I'll spend the afternoon with my Sunday Times.
Hope everyone has a good day x
