Inserted link from website without favicon renders with overlapping text
What I did:
Pasted a URL for a website that does not have a favicon and pressed Enter.
What Should happen:
A hyperlink should be added without side-effects.
What happened:
This happened:
And when I carried on with my reply, the overlapping text made the post very difficult to read.
What I see above:
The link includes the following image tag: <img style="height: 1em; width: 1em; margin-right: 6px;" src="https://handbook.fca.org.uk/glossary/favicon.ico" role="decoration" alt="Site favicon" tabindex="-1">
Where website does not have a favicon.ico file, the alt text "Site favicon" is placed in the embed link instead of the image.
Why it matters:
It makes posts unreadable and looks awful.
Device/Browser:
Linux / Firefox and Android / Firefox

This looks like it's linked to a similar issue I've already reported where the 'Rich Link' tries add parameter text to a favicon's url and some sites don't like that. Including ours:
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/favicon.ico?unique=123
(Broken)
vs
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/favicon.ico
(Works)
I've added this problem to the bug report
