I was scammed back in august 2018. And need a copy of this statement for the people who are trying to get my money back. After so many chats in Santander app I am getting nowhere. Has anyone else had this problem

Expecting records from over 7 years ago is a bit optimistic.

yes I am. But they look and say they have got it. But it never materialises

that say it takes 7to 10 days and that the will also email Nearly 20 days later I am still waiting

no I am not paying them it is not another scam

If you need a statement from 2018, it can be tricky because banks don’t always keep records that long. Keep following up with Santander’s customer service and escalate to a formal complaint if needed.

I know they have it as originally when I spoke to them they asked me what amount and to whom I was looking for , they said it was on Aug 2018 statement. Over 20 days ago

You answered the second question but not the first - your prerogative not to clarify (and it doesn't affect your question about dealings with Santander) but just out of curiosity, are you able and willing to share more information about who's trying to recover your money from a 2018 scam, as this does sound unusual if it's genuine, and "the people" wouldn't be an obvious description for courts, police, financial authorities, insurers, etc?
