Nothing anyone says on here will make you feel less anxious, you will not be happy until you get your hands on your money. Human nature. As well as taking in your photo ID and proof of address, I guess it might be helpful to take anything that proves where the funds that you deposited came from. A bank statement showing the transfer from your old bank to Halifax?

But I doubt you will need it.

I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

my bank I transferred the funds with don’t issue statements until the 20th of each months, I don’t know why but I do have their app so it might be wise showing them the transaction in thw app if they do ask.

I made a post on here about a week ago about this. I received this rather worrying letter in the post. I did do a CIFAS DSAR on Monday which came back on Wednesday with nothing on it but apparently it takes a week or two to show?? I’m truly worried that I won’t be able to use another bank account again. I’ve seen all the horror stories about CIFAS markers. I was able to take out my money.

The way this letter is worried truly terrifies me. I was speaking to an advisor and she told me she will speak to the account review team (ones who made the decision to close the account) and she came back and said there will be no affects on my credit file but I think she didn’t know I meant about CIFAS and all the other prevention agencies. She also told me she’s not sure I’ll be able to apply to Lloyds again. I’ve had a very very stressful week and I’ve only managed to calm down for like a day or two before I received this now I’m stressed again.

Please help I’m at my wits end 😭😭😭

That does not look like something to worry about. You have done something that is not allowed by the terms and conditions of the account, and they are giving you notice that they are closing your account. Use an account with another bank instead (you said in the previous thread that you already had at least one). Be careful how you use that account.

Can I ask why this letter has panicked you so much because there’s nothing in there that wasn’t already covered before.

It is their standard letter for the circumstances.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Halifax don’t like something you did & you broke their T&C’s

Nothing you can do about it!

So need to panic what are you worried about?

If you have nothing to hide you shouldn’t be worried!

All the answers covered in first post!

If you have the full story & want to tell us we can give more help

admittedly I’ve been reading horror stories about people receiving unfair markers although for some there’s something more to the story. I’m very much in shock still as I have never ever had this happen to me before

I haven’t got much to hide, as mentioned in branch they didn’t ask for much proof of where the funds came from as it was from my own Santander account. I however did provide them with bank statements from the bank I used to pay into the account and the transfer out to prove I was actually using the money paying off the credit card. Once that was done they removed the block temporarily and withdrew all the money back to me.

My issue just lies with CIFAS, I did a DSAR on Monday which came back clear but I’ve heard from a couple of people it apparently takes weeks for a CIFAS marker to appear on file.
