HL gilt maturity today - 0.125% 30/1/2026

Was anyone else holding this gilt (which matured today) with HL?

I have a long running transfer out (I believe the blame for the delay rests with the receiving party!) whereby I was told this asset was still in HL custody. I received the final coupon in HL today but no sign of the principle repayment.

Was anyone else holding this with HL, and if so did the redemption post today? What is the standard with HL and gilt maturities?

thanks!

AJ Bell gave me my coupon and capital around 8:30am today for comparison

It'll probably appear on Monday or Tuesday. I had one mature last year and it took 2 days to appear. I haven't checked to see if that was a weekend.

I was holding exactly this gilt in a HL Fund & Share Account. It was the first time I’ve held a gilt, but both the coupon and principle repayment were in my account when I checked five mins ago.

    Thanks for the replies.

The non-maturing assets are supposed to be settling with my new manager on Monday (we’ll see, this is the second attempt - last time they ‘weren’t ready’ according to HL and the transfer failed.)

Hopefully these proceeds will show up with the remaining assets on Monday, but I’m not holding my breath!

I had T26 in my HL Fund & Share account too. I received a "Net Redemption Payment" for it today. I moved some more money in and bought TR31. I asked the dealer whether the redemption payment included the final coupon. I was put through to a guy in the complex investment team who said that it did. I have not had a chance to check that. He said that the TN28 coupon should be in my account on Monday.

Don't they normally separate out the redemption payment from the coupon - putting the redemption payment in your capital account and the coupon in your income account?

The coupon is definitely sitting in my income account, and historically I’ve needed to move that to capital to reinvest it.

It wasn't just HL who offered the gilt ;)

But for reference, I got the principle payment back from HL early afternoon - can't remember if that included the final coupon or not - typically they've been much slower to arrive.

I have just checked. T26 is a conventional so that is easy. The redemption value is just the quantity that you bought in pounds. I was misinformed. The "Net Redemption Payment" does not not include the final coupon. The coupon is in my income account. Perhaps my informant was right about TN28. Maybe I will get my coupon for that one on Monday.
