And she added that restraint is key, especially during colder months.

“It is best to start gently and see how the lawn responds. You do not need to remove everything in one go.

“A lighter pass is often enough to clear surface debris without putting unnecessary stress on the grass.”

“If the ground is frozen or very wet, it is better to wait. Scarifying works best when the soil is damp but not saturated.”
