Good morning, it's cold and damp as usual here.
This tablet that I'm posting on seems to be on the blink so I'll keep this short. Unwanted letters are appearing in the middle of words and capitals are doubling. I'm doing more correcting than anything else.
Thoughts to our sad and poorly people.
Take care folks whatever you're doing.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, your tablet sounds very frustrating!
Lovely day yesterday, washing all but dried on the line outside, just needed airing when I got home - it's the small things! Did some shopping on the way home as I was running very low on supplies. Coal delivery too so I'm all set for a few days.
Seem to have caught up with lots of odd jobs at work so it was fairly quiet yesterday, I'm sure something will come up today but I'm not bothered as it's Friday and nearly the weekend.
I've finished the little one's cardigan, even sewed the buttons on so it'll be all ready for her when she comes tomorrow for a sleepover whilst her Mum and Dad have a much needed night out together.
That was a long wait in the cold Nanny.
Glad you're feeling a bit better Rosy.
Well done on getting O out Ruby.
Glad you enjoyed the book club Izzy.
Hope DS2 enjoyed the birthday celebrations Coxy and your cars are fixed soon.
Right, off to the shower. Hopefully the plumber will come today to fix the downstairs toilet flusher, he thought he had done it last week but it's still not right.
Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope your tablet limps along until you get a replacement. My lappie seemed to be living on borrowed time a while back but suddenly it developed a new lease of life and is behaving itself - for now at least!
I'm up and at 'em early doors (as usual!) but with reason this time. Off out with DD for what will probably be all day. Youngest DGD and 2 of her school friends are to take for a preview morning at the college they want to attend after their O levels. (Craven college at Skipton) We will have a wander round Skipton killing time, and maybe a coffee, until they are to pick back up. Then to take back to school, leaving us with a free afternoon. There are a few out of town stores planned. The world is our oyster!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. MOLLY I hope you are soon on the mend and DP1 I hope you soon shake off the never ending coughing bug. And NAN too, you have enough to contend with without your dad forever playing up. Take care all, be safe xx

After a dry day yesterday we're back to wet weather today.
Off out to do some food shopping later but apart from that nothing exciting going on here.
Hope everyone has a good day and the poorlies are feeling better each day x

Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet, maybe time to invest in a new tablet? So annoying.
After a brief trip into the wee town yesterday I stayed put and immersed myself in catching up on missed TV programmes and devising a new spreadsheet. One task was easy and the other more tricky but I was happy. The soup I made last week had to be chucked out so I made another batch.
I decided that I need a new remote control for my TV, looked it up on the big river site only to see that I bought one last April! I'm definitely not using it so now I'll have to search the place to find it. 😩 Maybe tomorrow. Today I'll probably go up to the big town though the weather looks really uninviting so I may not.Take care everyone, especially the poorlies and those who are sad. Hugs to all.

Morning all and thanks for starting us this morning @ScarletRibbons x That’s frustrating about your tablet, hope it’s just a blip x
We have our cars back! DD’s was dropped off yesterday afternoon and we picked ours up last night. Eye-watering bill but less than we expected. It is what it is! Our new front door is looking fab and lets a lot more light in, so pleased.
We are off to London tonight for a fancy dress 50th birthday party. Should be fun, especially getting the train in our costumes.
I’m not needed at work today, well I know there is some work to do but boss hasn’t had time to take a look. No matter. I will get out and about and run some errands.
Have a nice day out in Skipton @TravellingAbuela x.
I love a spreadsheet @Gers glad you got yours sorted. Ask St Anthony for help locating the remote! X.Hugs to all our poorly folk and have a good day all.

Morning all
Well I think we managed one dry day though it was very cold. Back to rain again today.
I’m looking forward getting rid of 6 boxes of ‘stuff’ from the loft to the charity shop today, also have fabric to collect (more Christmas themed crafts incoming!) and as there is an Aldi next door it seems the shopping has been delegated too. If I can squeeze in a dog walk around the canal basin that too whilst I’m out.
I’ll have the pick of some chores later - vacuuming the stairs and / or climbing on a desk to clean a window and wash Venetian-style blinds 🫣Hope the poorlies feels better and everyone can enjoy the end of the week.

Good morning
Another dull and damp day here. Rotten nights sleep due to this cough. Lots of sips of water, which then means comfort breaks. Never mind, not much planned, I may try and catch up with some laundry, although the tumble dryer will have to be used.
Ham, egg and chips for tea, an easy one for DH to do if I don't feel up to cooking 🙂
Have a good day all, hugs to our sad and poorlies. Take care.

Morning for Mehefinland
Overnight rain clearing and that big yellow ball is poking it's head out.
Technology seems to be having a field day miss-behaving. My space bar is intermittent and I spend a lot of time correcting too!!!
My proposed 'date' seems to have stalled. We are both so busy we can't actually get a time when we are both available ( although I think she has got cold feet as she isn't answering my messages).Maybe time to move on?
Very long resident's meeting last night about a proposed planning development on the only bit of green community used space left in my village. As you might imagine it got rather heated at times. The developers are in cahoots with the county council and they want to build 51 council houses, but the infrastructure to support all this is not there- limited doctors, shopping, an abysmal bus service (1/hour if it turns up), sewage disposal already at capacity etc etc, never mind the loss of green space, biodiversity and so on. It seems that the wellbeing of residents is being completely ignored to suit the need of the authority to provide housing ( sorely need I admit) but there are plenty of brownfield sites which could be utilised - I foresee a few sleepness nights!
This is the tip of a very big iceberg as there are proposals from the local authority to build a further 1200 approx on greenfields here over the next 10 years. The long promised reopening of our railway station hinges on this - but I know that he houses will be built but the station will never materialise, nor a lot of the other things 'promised' when they are trying to win people over. Sorry, soap box lol.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I need to go down to mam and dads a bit earlier, then I'm meeting my friend at lunchtime.
I had little one for a couple of hours yesterday morning, which was lovely, I hadn't seen her for more than 2 weeks…lots of cuddles! I taught her how to play draughts and we did some drawing and reading. DD is keeping her at home today too, to try to get her off her feeding pump, as she's been on it for a week now. I think she's coming for a sleepover tonight, then we have tickets for the cinema tomorrow. Spongebob Squarepants is not something I'd choose , but she'll enjoy it.
Yesterday was the first day I felt better, apart from the still lingering cough, more myself again.
Right best get moving, hope everyone has a good day x
