Beverley BS didn't hang about last time either, not quite this quick but they still went soon so I didn't expect this one to last long, especially given they're only a little building society and the summer holidays are fast approaching.

We may need a "league table" of "How many RS you missed out on?".
Slightly miffed that I missed out on Teachers BS account(s) and this Beverley BS account now too. But managed to bag Bucks BS.

Don't feel too bad, I somehow missed out on Virgin's 10% regular saver a couple of years ago 😪

Just checking the Monmouth T&Cs for withdrawal, seeing that my RS matures start of next month. It says:
If a payment is to another bank or building society, we’ll check you’re the account holder by asking to see original bank statements or cards.
You can’t take money out of your account using Direct Debit, Standing Order, or BACS.I cant remember whether I had to supply a bank statement on opening. Can anyone confirm how they've withdrawn money from MBS previously? Are we looking at having to request a cheque?

I've withdrawn from Monmouth a couple of times, via the app, to an external current account in my own name. As ever with Monmouthshire's app, it's a bit clunky, and despite saying "your nominated account details have been saved", it doesn't save them and I had to re-enter them each time. And the money took a few hours to land in my current account. But no need to supply a bank statement.

It was 10.38%AER (10% is gross). That was the best of this century so far👏. I had two of them because I inherited both, 82 and 05, profiles.

The only one I missed out on was Monmouthshire that was available for only about 24 hours. It was already gone when I found out about it😪 Apart from this, I managed to get all RSs I wanted to get.

MonBS
I've made a number of withdrawals/closures. Can't remember details, but it was always straight forward, requested online, paid into my bank account on the day. No cheques or sending bank statements.

Ha ha I wish I had read that. I sent £10.00 as a test payment and then followed up with £490.00. I guess I should have read the T&C's. 😀 Let see what get returned.
