Leaving your tax return until less than two days to go? A man after mine own heart!
But even I like to have a bit of time in hand, just in case of a hitch. This year I've promised myself to do my return straight after 6 April, just as I promised myself last year - and forgot until Xmas.

Why can’t you look at the statements? You don’t need a certificate.

Even if there was a certificate you'd be wise to check the figures for yourself. I got a certificate for my Halifax Rewards for 24/5 which understated the rewards and tax paid. Sure enough in August I got a letter saying oh we made a mistake and you had more rewards and more tax paid than we said. Fortunately it was an easy mistake to spot and I had already used the correct figure.

Same with P11D , they typically arrive in June and like you I always did the return immediately to get 1st in the queue ! you rely on your own trackers…..

Its just easier as I have multiple bank accounts and handy to have one document per account for record keeping.
