Not much sympathy here I suspect. Just a grift in my opinion.1 -
as the minister said (correctly imo) blanket compensation would be unfair on the tax payer as it is not possible to separate those who werent informed/werent aware and those who were

WASPI threads are always pretty transient, given the way so many posters feel the need to opine on the merits (or otherwise) of the principle of the claim itself, rather than discussing the news update, but it does seem a bit daft for MSE to close the existing 'unofficial' thread about this, only to then start an 'official' one instead!

I am pretty sure every thread has ended up being shut down either due to an epidemic of uncivil behaviour or becoming "political", I agree it does seem an odd choice to post this on the forum.
