Travel Insurance Query Health Condition
Just asking as have a health condition which is controlled by medication.
Can you get travel insurance to cover things such as loss or theft of items without qualifying a condition
My predicted premium is very high with disclosing the condition, way more than if not.
But if i only want cover for such things as loss etc which is not connected, is this possible to do
ie wouldnt be covered if health related claim for a health issue

You may have to try a broker, otherwise get the items insured via your home insurance, however you won't have delay or cancellation cover etc

If you did obtain travel insurance without medical cover you are leaving yourself open to large bills should you be taken ill, or injured, on holiday.
If you have home contents insurance that may cover for loss or theft away from the home, but that's about all the cover you would have. If you were taken ill and had to cancel a holiday, that wouldn't be covered. It's obviously your call, but there are reports in the papers almost weekly of people not having adequate travel insurance then being hit with bills they can't pay.

Your home insurance can be setup to cover your personal possessions anywhere in the world if your concerns are only about stuff and not canceling the holiday or a $4m hospital bill in the states (paid one once)
