Smart parking dcb legal ccj issued

I've been fight a parking charge for a couple of years various letters from various legal teams

( I have photograph proof the machine wasn't working)

I just moved house last month ( been very busy and just haven't updated my new address yet with them) and how found out through a phone call my royal mail redirection hasn't been working and I've missed the court case and lost and been issued with a ccj.

I'm writing a statutory declaration as we speak to file was just wondering what would be the next steps?

Any help would be much appreciated

It's not a Stat Dec. Bin it. That's for fines and this isn't a fine.

A parking invoice CCJ has to be set aside using form N244 and a Witness Statement. Costa a £313 court fee up front that pays for the application and a hearing. You might or might not see the judge order the Claimant to pay your costs back.

Read the CCJ set aside section of the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

My signature below, tells you how to hop straight to it.

THEN search the forum for 2025 CCJ set aside threads to copy & learn from.

Or do I need to fill in Form N244?

The case was only 10 days ago if this makes any difference?

    Thanks coupon mad

it's more than paying for the ccj fine to be removed

I really don't want to but feel it may be a lot easier

    There was no case hearing.

    No judge was involved.

The alternative approach (instead of setting aside the CCJ) is to email a named solicitor at DCB Legal and offer (say) £35 or a similar two figure sum, to settle the case. This is a specific route and needs to be put in a compelling way.

Not by phoning them nor by emailing info@.

DO NOT JUST PAY THE LOT WITHOUT TRYING THE ABOVE TACTIC FIRST!

Don't rush. Think about it. You have another 20 days to get this done and agreed, if you decide to email and make a low offer.

We can give you the form of words and the specific named solicitors' emails to try.

What was the date of the CCJ (not the Claim form)? Urgent.

    I've sent you a pm
