Annual Travel Insurance Policy
I received my annual renewal policy today for £1561.95 inc Tax. This included disclosed existing medical conditions such as BP etc for myself and my wife
After using the comparison sites I found I can take new policy out with the same disclosures, cancellation costs etc for £686.00
That is a saving of £875.00 year on year.

Firstly make sure its like for like, its easy to make a travel insurance policy cheaper by cutting back the ccverages it offers or stricter terms. That said not everyone needs a gold plated policy and lower cover isnt necessarily a bad thing.
Price walking isnt banned in travel insurance, yet, so new business quotes are often heavily discounted so not surprising a new business quote is cheaper than a renewal .

What's BP? Blood pressure or bipolar? If the latter then that is a good price.

It shows the importance of shopping around for the best price/cover balance, and not just assuming your current insurance is always going to be the best value.
