Outfo Energy switch problems

Has anyone had problems switching to Outfox( from Eon)? I was supposed to switch back in September, we're now in January. My Eon account is settled, but each time we get to switch day I receive an email to sat that my DD has been cancelled. When I call customer services, no one can explain why, and then have to start the whole process again. This doesn't stop them taking DD payments (and then refunding them at a later date). getting frustrating

Worth noting possible £40 compensation for not switching supply within 5 working days + additional £40 compensation if that £40 compensation was not paid within 10 working days.

Check who is currently your registered energy supplier.

Use the online "Find My Supplier" service for gas (if applicable) and find your local electricity network operator via the Energy Networks Association website.  Your distribution network operator (DNO) website will explain how to then establish who your current electricity supplier is.

If it proves to be Eon, then you have not yet settled your Eon account.

If it proves to be Outfox Energy, then your switch has been successful, but there is an issue with your Direct Debit. If Outfox Energy cannot explain why your DD mandate keeps being cancelled, your bank should be able to assist you in why it keeps getting cancelled, or by whom. (You may need to be persistent with your bank as my experience is that the knowledge of many customer facing bank staff about the DD scheme is woefully lacking)
