MBNA problem

Sorry about the size of my post but I couldn't delete it. I need the funds in my nominated account. I believe the link to manage my maturity options is designed to not work.

Lloyds is a funny one. The online banking and apps for its main brands are fine but its subsidiary brands often leave a lot to be desired e.g., Halifax/Lloyds/BoS/SW(iWeb) share dealing and Scottish Widows Bank (when I last used it a few years ago) are like late 90s throwbacks.

is there anyway to contact them by email or post? you want to have the maturity option in writing from yourself as evidence of what you have chosen. but it does sound like they are very basic. reminds me of Habib Zurich, which was very basic, but at least MBNA answered the phone!
Most likely their systems set up is just poor and it will be as the telephone operator has said, but it can be frustrating when you can't make a maturity choice.
I had that with shawbrook and i messaged them. They did it manually at their end but you just had to trust that they actually did it! however, there was secure message exchange as proof if anything went wrong.

Their maturity option email is from a 'no reply' address!
It's probably all just me panicing!

i wouldn't get overly concerned about it as most likely it will be moved to an instant access savings account like the operator said without the instructions. does the email say what will happen if you don't make a maturity option?

Yes it says it will move the funds to an EASY access acount. Hopefully not too difficult to close.
Not very inspiring and their Trustpilot reviews are terrible!

you will be fine. they just don't have the set up like the better banks. i found that with habib zurich, which was also flagged up on the MSE savings comparator.
I wouldn't take too much notice of Trustpilot as I have had good experience with banks that have had bad reviews on trustpilot as I found a lot of the issues that people are voting on Trustpilot is very personal issues rather than a generic one.
But yeah, it isn't good to invest with banks that offer limited facilities because it is just stressful and for the extra measly 0.4% or something like that, it isn't worth the hassle.

Thanks for that. And thanks to all for the replies.

hey, how did this end? They are top of the savings list again.
