Chase bank accounts on shared phone
My wife and I share our main mobile phone and have a really old one for emergencies or if I'm out by myself. Is it possible for both of us to set up and manage Chase bank accounts on one phone? We already have my wife's set up and I'd like to open an account myself. The old phone is not compatible and I don't really want to replace it.

Google says yes:
Yes, two people can access their respective Chase accounts from one phone, but they cannot stay logged in simultaneously, and it requires switching users, which may involve new device authorization procedures. Here are the key details regarding using the Chase (UK) app on a shared device:One User at a Time:The Chase app does not support multiple user profiles being active at once. To switch users, one person must log out, and the other must log in.Re-Authentication:Switching users may trigger a "new device" security process, requiring you to go through a login journey again, which can be inconvenient. No Joint Accounts:Chase UK does not currently offer joint accounts, so users must maintain separate, individual accounts.Alternative Solutions:Shared Device Strategy:If you share a phone, you will have to log in and out each time.Digital Wallets:For spending, both partners can add their individual Chase cards to their respective digital wallets (e.g., Apple Wallet or Google Wallet) on their own phones, allowing them to use the same account for joint expenses.
Important Security Note:Chase is designed to be used on only one device per user for security reasons. If you try to register your account on a second device, it will likely unregister it from the first device.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
But, of course, it would be prudent to check with Chase. That google fella has been known to tell porkies.

I saw this originally, but it doesn't appear to work as suggested; once installed and registered, the app looks to be tied to that user and from that point on the only way in is to enter the user's PIN, which then displays their account information. How is a second account then registered, as the procedure that's used to set up the account (personal details, photo of ID and selfie, etc.) are no longer available?

If you have a phone with a secure folder like a Galaxy it might be possible, it works with some banks but never tested it with Chase.

Not practically, no.
You'd need to check whether two accounts can have the same mobile number, many app-only banks don't allow this. Might be possible to have your old mobile number associated with the second account even if the app never runs on the phone.
In order to access a second account you would need to clear down the app (effectively deleting and reinstalling) and then re-authorise the app to the second account, which uses facial recognition stored from the original setup. Can take considerable time, especially if any human intervention is required for extra checks.
You may well be able to set up a second instance of the app if your phone has a "secure" area as many Samsung & other phones do, but I've not tried this.
Unless there are other factors not mentioned, by far the simplest solution is to acquire a new mobile phone.

What about a phone with dual SIM cards?

as above - if you have a Galaxy phone that suports a secure folder then you can put the chase up in the secure folder and it acts as if it was a second phone i.e one app outside the secure folder and one app inside the secure folder

I’d be surprised.
I tried to use Chase for my own account on my iPad in addition to iPhone.
Using on iPad removed the ability to use on iPhone without registering the device and doing all the security steps again such as ID and vice versa.
Therefore if it was possible to use a single phone for two accounts then you’d probably need to constantly re register when changing between accounts.

Yes I believe you cannot use ne Chase account on two devices at the same time
However what you can do is use two different chase accounts on the same device providing you put one inside the secure folder and one outside the secure folder

With Chase you need a phone number but it doesn't have to be the same number as the app is install on.
As long as the app works in a secure folder (it does install, but that as far as I tried) the you could use any two phone numbers even if it's not the same as that phones.
