Dehumidifier advice following building works, please

Hi @Lorian yes the room is water tight.
I can't have the window opened with the dehumidifier, and anyway it has been raining here most days for weeks, and I am sure it would just be bringing more damp air inside too.
It is a compressor dehumidifier, couldn't afford a dessicant one.
To everyone who has suggested opening windows to facilitate natural drying, I doubt having the window open would help anyway as the room leads into a small lobby - so no 'through-flow' for the air to circulate effectively :(

In that situation it may be worthwhile having a oscillating fan in the room as well as the dehumidifier.
Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke1 -
Good suggestion, thanks @ Eldi_Dos
