I used too small a container for cooking chicken breasts in suace this morning as usual larger casserole dish not available.
The result is burnt on food. I've scrapped and wiped the worst off but what will be the best way to remove it all please.
Suggestions appreciated please.

I use a product called Deepio which is a professional product which was recommended to me by a chef. It's available from the orange DIY store (but think it might only be online rather than in store).

Bicarbonate soda - add a little water and make a paste. I use this to get any burnt marks off saucepans / jam pan. It requires very little elbow grease.

Co-incidentally I'd just been reading this review by Good Housekeeping because my oven really needs a good going over and I'm not looking forward to the task at all.

Also, once you have used the above to remove the burnt residue, line the bottom of your oven with double-layer tin foil...

I spotted this review on the Good Housekeeping site a few days ago and wondered whether it would be worth trying this tool on my oven floor so thought you might be interested too.

TBH cleaning the bottom of my oven isn't the worst job, for me it's trying to get the racks clean. I think I've tried most 'wonder' products, only to be disappointed. Because the racks aren't flat, trying to get them to soak properly in the 'chemical in a plastic bag' solution is always a bit marginal.
I blame Neff TBH. Whoever designed the shelves obviously doesn't cook anything greasier than a few cakes, or pays a company to come in and do them. I did investigate purchasing a commercial oven rack cleaning bath like the professionals use, but it was about £1K……..
