It is THIS THREAD
I can cope OK if it is just this old thread, but if it affects all long threads then it needs to be raised.

Yes! I can see the issue.
Putting your cursor in and using the DOWN arrow key, seemed to resolve it for me (Mac + Chrome).

On the face of it, it points to an extension or other issue local to me or my browser, but I've run out of things to try. For me this issue dwarfs niggles with quoting posts
If I could figure it out I would become the most enthusiastic adherent of the new editor. Any issues it had would pale by comparison
Thanks for the validation/feedback though

I tried to reproduce on my Windows, but couldn't.
I know on Chrome you can set site permissions to restrict access to the clipboard, but not sure about Firefox.Join the MSE Forum

All I know is that it's a feature of the new editor. Other keyboard shortcuts work: bold, italics, all, copy etc and as I noted Ctrl-left/right arrow. I'm stumped
Troubleshoot mode doesn't help
Even the windows inbuilt clipboard editor (Windows-V) can't be induced to paste clipboard contents

Why am I being bombarded by "notifications" today?
0 -
Because the new editor/system adds a notification every time you're quoted? 🤷♀️
Currently I'm only getting (single) notifications for threads in which I've posted - i.e. a single notification saying there are X new posts in that thread. (i.e. a notification for each thread with new posts, but not a notification for every single new post).

Well, that's annoying.
I am getting double notifications:
It is also incorrect where it says "XXX mentioned you" - that is not what happened. "Mentioned" is only when I put, for example, @MSE_James whereas if it is every time I am quoted, that is "XXX quoted you". MSE Towers seem intent on breaking the forum.
Also, there is no way to add bulleted or numbered lists in text.

Am I misunderstanding what you're trying to do?
0 -
Yes, that's what I want to do.
I do not see any options for any kind of text formatting, so no bullets, no lists, no bold, no italics, no strikethrough, no nothing.
Instead of all that I only have the option to add random images 🐭🧀🎢
