I added a bit to my post about that - do you have another browser than Firefox installed on your machine, and if so is the issue present there too? I can't repeat the issue on Firefox for Mac.

I can only suggest seeing if you have any Firefox extensions that might be conflicting in some way - maybe see what happens if you log in to the forum in a private window in Firefox?

No joy in private window, will review my extensions one by one, but as you can appreciate no pasting reduces my interaction with this site to simply typing in everything

Edit: Still not working with all extensions etc disabled
Maybe this is someone's way of nudging me to become a content consumer rather than a provider. I spend too much time on here anyway

Editing very long posts - Only part of the is post visible in the editing box and there is no scroll bar to move down the thread - I have to use the down arrow and move down line by line.

If somebody has a very long post, please could you check if you can move easily through your post when editing it.

This problem might only apply to one particular thread of mine which is over 7 years old and has BBCode enabled.

If you link to the post, I can check.

Once we've had the new editor around for a little while, there is a setting we can change to allow all old posts to be edited with the new editor.

Then some of the new features may be useful for long posts -
