Perfect thankyou, and I assume it's worth me trying to fit in that I paid for a valid session with a wrong reg plate to argue they had no loss etc?

2. The allegation(s) are vague and liability is denied for the sum
claimed, or at all. The delay in bringing proceedings lies with
the Claimant, making retrieving material evidence difficult, which
is highly prejudicial. The Defendant has little knowledge of
events, save as set out below and to admit that they were the
registered keeper.Just to double check here, I would remove registered keeper and replace with driver? it was my partners car not mine

State that the defendant made full payment to cover the full period of parking so no loss occurred

Yep and that's paragraph 3.
All done! Follow the 8 steps and DON'T show us DCB Legal's reply please.

The Defendant was the driver on the material date and confirms that a valid parking session was purchased for the relevant location using the RingGo mobile payment system. The Defendant inadvertently entered the registration number of another vehicle when making the payment. The parking tariff was therefore paid for the correct location and time period but linked to an incorrect registration due to a genuine keying error. The Defendant retains the payment receipt and will rely upon this as evidence. As the required parking fee was paid, no parking tariff remained unpaid and the Claimant suffered no loss.
would something like this be suitable?1 -
Yes but you've already said at the end of para 2 that you were driving, so you don't need to repeat that.
I would add to the end of your para 3:
The Claimant knew this in 2024 when they received but ignored an appeal, which is how they obtained the Defendant's data. They failed to respond to the appeal and later fobbed off a complaint attaching the VAT receipt to prove payment had been made.

I don't understand how you ended up with a court claim in your name if you were not the registered keeper!

They outed themselves as the driver to steer the claimant away from their partner, (the registered keeper) , especially because they paid and provided proof with their driver appeal
