Thanks, within minutes I tried to cancel the order, but was told not possible by the chatbot and to wait for the items to be delivered and then return them.

If they hadn’t sent an email saying your items are being processed for dispatch a contract would not have existed they need to refund in full within 14 days of your email in accordance with the CCRs.
It’s just another example of bad behaviour from big companies….
