Others might have a different way of looking at it.

These days it shouldn't be a problem provided you pay for your purchases in full each month. This was good advice in the old days but nowadays payments are allocated to items that attract the highest interest first.

But those items will attract interest from the day they are purchased until paid and then will likely only pay items that have appeared on a statement.
