Flight in few hours, woke up pink eye

Hi all,
I'm currently abroad
Just woke up with possible pink eye, lovely!
Issue is I'm due to fly home in about 7 hours.
Should I take my chances at airport? If not what should I do?
If I take my chances, they deny, the first thing I will do is ask for it in writing and ring my travel insurance for advice.
I'm assuming accommodation wise, the cheapest I can find?
When rebooking flight, again cheapest one?
Then how long for?

Take your chances with what? Nobody is going to be batting an eyelid at what your eye looks like. In the unlikely event anyone asks just say you have had an allergic reaction to a cat or a dog or something

I had it once before (I had never heard of it before then, thought it was nothing), came to office and was told to work from home.0 -
You will be able to fly fine, even pilots can fly planes with it in some scenarios

I get eyes that look like that all the time every time I am around cats. Nobody is going to bat an eyelid, you are over thinking this.
The alternative is staying put, paying for things at your own expense and inconvenience for an unspecified amount of time, in the hope you are actually covered by insurance, when you can actually get home today. I know what I would rather do.0 -

Just want to be prepared if it happens and what to do - insurance wise so I'm not out pocket at my own expense.
I would rather fly home today too.

Ive already explained nobody will be looking at your eyes for potential medical conditions. If asked just say its your hayfever flaring up. Airline boarding staff arent doctors.Snowy2018 said:

Conjunctivitis can be caused by more than one thing, some are infectious and some arent. How long the infectious period lasts, if it is infectious, also varies depending on if it's bacterial or viral in origin.
It can be caused by allergies and irritants in which case no infectious element. Probably the easiest thing to blame if anyone does ask2 -
