HL fees reducing

No, the word 'estimate' doesn't appear in the email at all, neither the plain text version nor the HTML version.
Interestingly though, I've just looked at the email they sent to my wife and it says "Based on the value of your investments as of 31 December 2025, this means you’ll be paying roughly £8 more each month in
account charges".I wonder why mine is different???

Could you be that rare beast for whom the changes make absolutely no difference at all????
Might be worth a secure message to HL.

I suppose it's possible. I have a mix of mainly traded instruments but a few legacy funds so I suppose that there'll be a large % increase in the charges for my ISA due to the increased limit, and it's conceivable there'll be a reduction on my SIPP that matches.
Might be worth a secure message to HL.
Yes, I might well do that.

Have you been offered a year's free fees for a F&S account? My mother has that and her email doesn't show that she will also be paying £8.75 a month more in fees for her ISA.

I've been offered a year free for F&S account but also got the bit about paying £17 a month more across the board.

Yes that is a bit confusing. I think the £17 extra is before the special offer of a free year. But the offer talks of shares only so it is not clear it covers everything in the GIA.

After being with ii a few years ago and moving to hl when they did their crazy transfer offers, I just clicked to transfered back to ii.
Me and my wife have a S&S ISA and a SIPP both in VWRP so our fee's are increasing. We also both want to open a GIA each from April 6th and that will mean another £300 a year. So total cost in HL £900 or £359 for ii.
We used a friends referral link so no fees for both of us for a year.

Can you get the cashback and referral fee moving to II....?

I have received my own email as well as one for my father. There are 2 different templates being used, one with the cost estimate and one without. If you have the *** disclaimer at the bottom you should have the cost estimate, they don't show that disclaimer if that line isn't shown.
Curiously mine says the costs will be similar to now, my father's one which will be marginally cheaper has no cost estimate. His portfolio is substantially larger than mine (paying around £1600pa fees) so I wonder if they're not mentioning costs to avoid prompting awkward questions about how much is being paid in fees.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -
I messaged them yesterday to note the significant increase in fees for my wife and me and indicated that I would seriously consider transferring all 3 accounts.
Got a pretty anodyne and clearly standard template response this morning noting that they are giving me a free year on the Fund and Share account (which was in the original email) but fails to mention never mind address the overall significant rise in platform fees. It also mentions the cut in dealing fees but I don't deal often and this only brings theirs down to the higher end of the rest.0
