That''s a *very* cheap quote. You seem to be getting a lot for the money.
The components (Aiko, Solis, Dyness) are cheapand-cheerful mass-market brands. At the price point you've quoted, it's what I'd expect.

    These people?
I can't find them listed in the MCS database, which is a little bit worrying.
The company number they quote on their website - 15460862 - belongs to a different business, Ecogenesis Renewables Ltd:
Ecogenesis aren't listed in the MCS database either.
How did you find / choose that company? There's enough red flags that I would want a lot of reassurances before giving them any of my money, but if you already know everything about them you might be more comfortable?

  • For export tariffs, am I right in thinking that suppliers will ask for an MCS Certificate?

Google and Facebook aren't where I'd look for an installer myself.
In the event that they're above board, not being registered with MCS will still cause some problems.
They'll need to do a bunch of Building Regs paperwork on your behalf. You'll have trouble being paid for any export if you don't have an MCS certificate. And they might not be a member of a consumer code like RECC (a complaints resolution body) or be able to offer an insurance-backed guarantee with eg. HIES.
Personally I wouldn't choose a non-MCS installer for something like this.

If they’re not MCS certified, there is almost always a reason for it (and they’re not good reasons).

As cheap as the initial quote is, my advice would be not to proceed.

One of the directors (Grzegorz SZEWCZYK)  also appear on 1348 other companies!
The other director (Paul Andrew WESTHEAD) is on 39 companies.
They supposedly operate out of a Regus office in London.

    All you nay sayers...

Just look at the high value properties where they are based....and the very swish looking web site with lots of onto and claims.....

    Doesn't tempt me....

They just got back to me and said
Regarding MCS. Emyra Sokar currently do not have this however, the installation is carried out by our certified installation partner Lipame Ltd,
MCS / NIC registration number: NIC-601130, fully compliant with UK regulations.
