Good luck! I am sure that the interviewers will much prefer to see you as yourself than listening to forced answers. I know I certainly do when interviewing!

Good luck. You can also get liners for slow cookers. I swear by them.

Aw, thank you @peb, @Dakota_Rose and @lucielle. I am waiting to hear about whether I got it. They said it may be later today or tomorrow. I am guessing it will probably be tomorrow now, as it’s getting a bit late in the day to hear. I am satisfied I did all I could, so I’ll be ok whatever happens. I talked A LOT, literally filled every possible space and they had to keep telling me when the question was over, as I was very determined to cram in as much as possible. I’m up against a lot of competition though, and people who have been there longer working towards the role for many years. I won’t feel bad if someone else gets it, as it would be deserved, but I do know that the extra money will really help me and it would be a career-making opportunity.

I’m sort of pooping myself in case I do get it as it’s a big role and pooping myself in case I don’t get it as it will disappointing. I have plans to stay under a duvet this weekend whatever happens. If I found out I got it today I was going to celebrate by ordering whatever I wanted for tea to be delivered, but as I don’t know yet I guess it’s the back up plan for what I was going to have if I don’t get it, which is poverty soup (aka a tin of unbranded tomato) 😂

@Blackcats yes I did feel ok about it. Satisfied that I did my best on the day and did all I could. I think I left them in no doubt that I would be able do the job and I feel like if I don't get it then it will be less about me and more about factors like there being not enough roles to go around and many decent people applying and that there are people who have already been in line for longer etc. I'm in a good place with it, though I did just decide to treat myself to a frozen pizza but then i fell asleep and I only woke up when the smoke alarm went off and the pizza was black, so it's soup after all…

    I didn’t get the job 😔.

I sent a nice email back, in order to not burn any bridges, as I had pre-written a couple of drafts that would address all eventualities, then I just got straight into bed and have stayed here ever since. Not sure what’s next, but I do think when one door closes another opens. It’s not done my ability to cook to save money any good, as it’s been hard to do the dishes and prepare food for a couple of weeks after losing the little cat, and I still haven’t returned to normal. Feel quite sad as it’s been the first bad thing that’s happened where she’s not been here.

My money saving thing today is to read a bit of “Girls Just Wanna Have Funds” before I go to sleep, as it will make me think about possibilities, or something like that.

So sorry to hear this - it's so disappointing when this happens. Hope you bounce back quickly and I am sure that the right job is on the horizon and you will look back and be pleased you didn't get this one. I had a year of intense job hunting around 2 y ago and was absolutely gutted about a couple of jobs I didn't get but I am SO happy that I didn't because I love the job I have now. It will come good. x

sorry you didn't get the job. It's fine to mope for a bit then onwards and upwards.

You might like to have a look at The Humblepenny website which I find motivating. I've just started reading their second book which I'm enjoying.
