Good luck for the interview. I hope your back improves soon.

fingers crossed that your interview goes brilliantly. Be positive about yourself, your skills, knowledge and experience. The panel want to make an appointment so you only need to convince them that you are the one they want!

Thank you @jwil 🌺
I'm making a presentation and I have sworn to myself that I will get a full version of it done in draft form before I go to bed. I'm going to have to put on one of those "concentration sound effects focus" videos in order to get this done faster, as I am struggling to focus and stay on task, and I don't want to be up too late.
I feel a bit burnt out at the moment, where I am tired even after I slept.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how best to use the £30 of Asda vouchers I have accumulated? I am thinking of either using them towards a microwave or air fryer, or a big stock pot and some saucepans. Something that will be an asset to extend my kitchen equipment, which will be useful for the future…. ??

@Blackcats, thank you, I appreciate this. I think being positive will be really helpful. Need to summon that, as I am bit tired and cynical at the moment and that doesn't feel very fresh 😐️

I have managed to make the draft presentation by a not too unreasonable hour, so I will go to bed now and return to this in the morning, as doing the draft had the desired effect of sparking off further ideas.
Tomorrow should be a spend free day, unless I walk anywhere, as I will allow myself to buy a drink if I walk to a place - though if I walk to Greggs I could claim my free monthly hot drink.

I think use the voucher on whatever will be most use to you, and bonus points if it saves you money in the long run. But be honest with yourself about what you're likely to use most.
I love the idea of slow cooking but in reality I'm not that organised. I only use mine about twice a year. My air fryer I probably use every day. My good quality (but not expensive) stainless steel pans were worth every penny ot my grandmothers money (I inherited them)😂

@Rhyddid2026, yes that's good advice to get something that will be used most. I was thinking that a microwave is a really essential piece of equipment to have, and I only have one saucepan. This is fine for now, but when I have lodgers (aiming for later this year or next year), these will be needed.
Today I'm working on my presentation and I've made a deal with myself that I'm allowed to procrastinate at points if I feel like it, but that it needs to be something that helps me. The procrastination choices are reading a finance book or cleaning, or creating mock interview questions.
I am also allowing a walk if I need a break. Let's do this and get this stuff done! 💕

I really need to walk to the shop over the next couple of days, as there is a shop locally that sells toilet rolls so cheap and I need to stock up again. It’s 3 x packs of 18 rolls for £10. That’s 54 rolls!!!
I forgot to mention that last time I was in there, I bought a shopping trolley for £12. It’s cute, it’s got deer on it, and it has revolutionised my cheap shopping as it means I don’t have to take my car to town.
Never thought I’d become someone who gets excited about a shopping trolley or the price of toilet rolls, but here we are.Updated last day of the month… focus, improving overall net wealth…

The very best of luck for the job interview @MillQueen and I hope your back is better soon.
I love my slow cooker and use it regularly, although I was bought an instant pot so it’s a slow cooker pressure cooker and other functions I don’t really use, in one. I probably use the air fryer more often, but it’s a nightmare to clean, of the 2 given that I presume you have an oven, I’d go for the slow cooker, but I guess it’s weighing up what sort of meals you cook.
Find a little bit of joy in every day.

Thanks @RhiBi, I agree that a slow cooker may get less use. I’m not organised for putting things in it in the morning. There are those paper cases you can get for the air fryer I guess… which are meant to make it easier to clean, though I’ve never tried them so no idea how well they work. I think it may be a matter of cleaning it thoroughly every use, so it doesn’t get too horrid.
I’m just waiting to go in for the job interview, talking aloud to myself answering imaginary questions like “can you tell us what you bring to the role in terms of managing people” and hoping for the best. I’m going to go with the old advice about being myself and seeing if they like what I have to offer.
