Morning SCARLET and all to follow. I think it's looking a bit damp out there but we actually had a day minus rain yesterday, even a bit of sunshine. But the rain is due back again today, albeit light stuff forecast.
It's that time again, I am skulking upstairs waiting for the time to be up when I can rinse the colour off my hair. The box has only been sitting in the bathroom for 2 weeks patiently waiting!
I am in a rut with Sunday lunches, it's shepherds pie again. I got the base out to defrost last night so just the topping to do. I did double the veg for my dinner yesterday so what's left is just to warm up to go with it. Easy peasy.
I have my bed to strip shortly but once again the bedding will festoon the upstairs to dry. I doesn't take long with the dehumidifier doing it's thing.
I was rather disappointed with my Sainsbob's shop yesterday, empty spaces on the shelves of 4 items I wanted. I was a bit annoyed about that. Maybe they are short of shelf stackers..
Have a good day folks if you can, thinking of the poorlies, sad or lonely. Special thoughts with LIONEL. I hope he is being kept comfortable. Take care all, stay safe x

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
I had a rubbish nights sleep, just felt like I dozed all night. I’m off to yoga in about an hour. Hoping I don’t nod off in the breathing practice. I’m hoping to do the RSPB birdwatch when I get home.Yesterday was a busy one and I managed to squeeze in a food shop at Tesco too. I too was quite disappointed with the range of goods. Maybe the SMs are still getting back to normal stock after the Christmas blow out.DD stayed at a friend’s house plus DH was at a gig and stayed in London. They should both be home around lunchtime. I’ll do a roast chicken for later.I’m sad about Lionel @Gers. Feel like we’ve adopted him as a group given he was a good friend to your dear mum too. I’m sure he appreciates you and all you are doing for him xxStrange your potential lady friend is proving difficult to meet with @mehefin. I’d suggest a daytime coffee midway in Cardiff - no pressure.Your eclectic Burns celebration sounds fab @camelot1001 and bonus about the extra meals for you!
Have a good day all and hugs to those not quite feeling it!CoxyCross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 1/26 Currently reading The Trial by Rob Rinder13 -

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Quite blustery out this morning and a bit showery too. Managed to get bedding and towels out on the line yesterday for a blow about, it was half dry and smelled wonderful. Finished off by the fire and all put away.
DD and the little one called in for a while yesterday with some daffodils, a thank you for making her vegan mashed potato for Friday's celebration. Very nice but not necessary, just want her to enjoy things like everyone else.
Went to get essentials and bit the bullet with the little one's cardigan I'm knitting and began sewing it up. After putting the sides on as sleeves I pulled myself together and got it done, just need to put the rib on now. Quite enjoy the knitting but really don't like the sewing up!
Sending much love to you Gers and to Lionel, as Coxy said he's part of us now.
I had a much better night's sleep so am feeling a bit more lively this morning. Bathrooms to clean then a trip to Costco, mainly to fill up with fuel.
Enjoy Sunday. Take care. XX

Morning again, it's not raining ! It was windy and dry yesterday but very cold.
Sorry to hear you've had a bad night Coxy, hope you don't fall asleep at yoga.
I find the dehumidifier great at drying the washing TA, we need all the help we can get during these long spells of bad weather. I too will be stripping the bed today. I actually put a little bit of washing out on the line yesterday but it didn't dry, so it ended up on the airer on the landing. It's a wonder that the airer hasn't put roots down on the landing, it's been there all winter.
No plans for today, dh seems tired, ok, but tired.
Have as good a day as you can everyone, whatever you're doing. Thoughts to Lionel, hope he has a peaceful day, and also thoughts to our other poorly people. Take care folks.

It was such a nice change to not have constant rain yesterday. I tidied up some dead things in the garden, and swept out the shed as well as two dog walks. I think we’re back to rain today.
I’ll finish my loft sorting today then the steps etc can be returned to the garage and another tidy up will ensue.Salmon for dinner and some leeks to use up so those will get a sauce made and be a good accompaniment.
Best wishes to all including poorly friends and family

Good morning
After yesterday's sunny day we're back to dull and drizzle.
I did the shopping yesterday, how can a few bits turn into £45? I did get some more dog food and washing pods as well as chicken. It soon mounts up.
Roast beef for dinner today, left over from the Christmas meat, yorkies and roasties as well.
Nothing else planned at the moment, will see how the day develops. Call the Midwife and After the flood to look forward to tonight.
Sending love and hugs to Gers and Lionel.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all. Dull and dreary here again today.
Yesterday we were looking after our two grandsons at their house, whilst DD and her husband went to a theatre matinee. It was milder so we got out into the garden to play ball for a while but they did come in with muddy shoes
Today I need to buy some veg then DH will be cooking us lamb steaks. I've some frozen yorkshire puddings that came from the Larder so will eat those up too.
My tooth socket is improving and I can eat things like bananas that side of my mouth. I'm quite surprised how long it's taking to heal though.
Hope everyone else's day goes well. Hugs all round

Morning all from dull and wettish Mehefinland
Not raining at the moment but has overnight at looks like it may at any moment. Grab the dry bits while I can.
Finally arranged to meet the lady ,, I can do mornings, she can't, she can do afternoons, I can't etc etc. We are now meeting at M&S cafe at the big outlet outside Cardiff on Friday evening. They are open until 9 and its a good neutral place to meet for a first one and hopefully won't be as noisy as a pub. Not too far to travel for either of us as well. Will see how it goes.
Thinking of the poodles and all those in need of succour
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek12
